Things are not looking good people. Not only with the rain forecast for the whole week, but now we will have Tropical Storm Alberta to deal with if the forecast path holes true. It will be running over us on Wed. or Thurs. Damn I hate to call this trip off.

I have been in Gatlinburg since tues. rain in the forecast every day. It has been sunny with a rain shower every afternoon for about an hour then clears right up. Alberto might be a game changer but I am already here and not going home till after the event. I rode down from Michigan yes it rained off and on all the way down put the rain suit on and off so many times I couldn't count. But I am here and by God I am going to enjoy SSITS!!

Welcome to Tennessee! Afternoon TStorms are the norm. Listening to thunder outside right now. Fired up the grill a couple of minutes ago. Beer brats and veggie packets on the grill. This too will pass.

For the record, Alberta has already tracked West about 80 miles from its first "official" landfall estimate... That said, I'm not holding my breath ~> Our sling heads up to MV on Monday.
