I have seen some SS’s with coloured roll hoops, and liked all of them. So I took mine off, prepped them, and treated them to a couple of coats of good ol Rustoleum! With a few layers on semi gloss clear on top. Another successful rattle can project! No need to powdercoat when paint with clear coat works fine. At 1/10 (or less) of the powdercoat prices.
My weekend project...

If I ever see another can of Rustoleum I'm gonna kill it, shoot it dead and then I'm gonna run over it. Worst paint you can buy.

There is no right way with that stuff. It's crap paint. Any other paint will work much better.

I have to admit I was surprised when I saw there really is a Rustoleum Auto-Body Paint!

Just use something like this and you will get much better results for the same or better price. I just finished using both and find this stuff much better and much less hassle to use.
