can anybody tell me how to gut the cat,I tried to drill it and punch a hole in it no success. Of course it's totally ruined. I have the 1320 exhaust on it now but it's a little too loud for me.For now I want to put it back to stock.I tried the search button but couldn't figure it out, sorry if I repeated this issue.

You should have just bought the cat delete pipe. Now if you elect to go back to stock with the cat it could cost you big time. I am running the cat delete and the 1320 with the stock muffler the low growl I like. It is not that much louder than stock. See, you could save yourself all of that trouble and bought the cat delete then you could have polished it with all of that time you spent cutting the cat out.

This is the kind of stuff that in you head you think "how hard can it be".
Then after 1h of sweat blood and tears, you realise how that was a bad idea.
I did mine with a punch and hammer, took me I don't know how many hours, please wear a dust mask. What really sucks is even when you get to the point where you cut out a good portion of the honeycomb from the wall, because of the bend its hard to get out.
Be prepared for a lot of swearing, there is no easy way to do this.

You could probably just post a "catalytic converter wanted" ad - I'm sure someone would either just give you one for cost of shipping or sell super cheap. Personally, I'm keeping every single stock item from my SS.

Cat Gut! That's what happens when your cat drinks too much beer.

Hey paisano @bubba
We can not reveal the source we don't want this to happen to us.
That's why they stay our 'friends'. Capeesh.

Got the cat delete installed. What a pain dealing with the springs. After several attempts finally decided to remove side panels for easy install and access. Better working with stock muffler and cat delete on bench than in engine bay. Made a tool to help with springs.
Makes a great back scratcher! -
I will be installing a 1320 and the alpha variable exhaust when available. Is the cat still there after I do the install? Sorry for not being more astute regarding this. And if it is, what advantage is there to remove the cat?

Nope, you're good, no cat in that setup
