Brake rotor info...to drill or not to drill, that is the question.

So I’m looking at my rear brake rotor and it has a decent sized groove in it...it probably won’t pass inspection. I started looking for replacement rotors and checking prices...which lead to plain, slotted or vented to decide on....each being more expensive.....I search for the differences between them and whether they had any advantage over each other....

That said I came upon this article..... appearently some rotor/brake pad upgrades aren’t helping in some ways..so you can read it and decide for yourself...

Now related to this.... can we just go to a GM dealer and buy rotors to fit. Thinking the dealer could actually be cheaper than using Polaris parts..

And has anyone compiled a crossover list of swappable GM parts that we can use instead of higher priced Polaris parts?

I don’t know if all the road dirt caused my rotor gouge or it it’s brake dust related....I know there is always a ton of dirt on my back end..

Is that something new?

I know what year I have...good thing it hasn’t been made too many years...
