I see value in having reference material available for people shopping used Slingshots, just so that they know what's out there without having to try to make sense of all these threads and posts.
More detail would make it even more useful (eg. what is different from model to model). But this or the Slingmods page is still helpful because the knowledge will be lost if someone doesn't document it.

hell - - it helped me, up until this thread I had thought red pearl and sunset red were just different names for the same color - I had no clue that Polaris had changed their red on the SL in 2017. Any differences I might have seen in pictures of slings on here I just chalked up photo processing differences - - with photography as my hobby I know how much different the same color can look taken with different cameras or processed with different software - not to mention things like monitor calibration
Good thing I havent made any color critical mod purchases probably would have ordered sunset red and then bitched that they screwed it up when in fact it was me

That's basically why I made this, had a good friend looking at Slingshots, wanted to show him whats out there, new and used. Told him if he wanted to know difference between the models just Google "difference between Slingshot x model and y model". Although he ended up buying a Mini Cooper convertible instead, he did find this to be helpful.
I think you will find that the Bluefire was a 2016.5 SL color, not SL
LE.
I'm certain Blue Fire is SL LE.

It is. Have a title stating that. It was built as a mid year limited edition to match one of @Painters. That information came directly from the mouth of the chief design engineer for the Slingshot.

Yes, Baker air wings. How could you forget those?? LOL

So funny how Polaris get's their panties in a twist for using their Emblem or Slingshot Font, but they have no problem ripping off our ideas left and right!!!
Here are the first three I painted...... Long before those colors existed. Orange, Pearl White and Black Pearl. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Polaris engineers told me they were using my colors and I said “No Problem”.
Thank you Sir. The Slingshot has become a passion for me!

Slingshot community is very blessed to have someone with your talent and passion. Looking forward to seeing some of your work first hand a SSITS. I would have tried to hook up with your Posse on the ride down to MV, but we’re leaving out early on the 26th. Hopefully I get the opportunity to meet up with ya down there as well as many others in the forum.
It will be my pleasure!
