It pulls really nicely. Of course with this big-ass 7.3 dually, I can't even feel it back there. We'll see if that changes once the Sling is loaded into it.
Welp, I made it back to DC with my new trailer for the Slingshot. The color matches my truck pretty closely.

Nope, you’ll never notice it is there. With a big enough truck you can pull Everest with ease.

I have to agree with @pricejh61 with that truck you'll never be able to tell whether the SS is in there or not. I pull a 47' gooseneck enclosed with my Dodge. When we are headed to the races full of fuel, with 2 race bikes and 2 pit bikes and all the extra crap we take with us we gross a little over 28K lbs. Huge steep inclines aside we run with traffic with no problems. Congrats and enjoy your new set up!

Get you a set of these in E range and your good to go:

Put some good grease in the bearings and make sure they are tight, my Diamond i keep an eye on them. a blow out of cheap tires will play havoc on the side of trailer.

Agree with the Maxxis 8008. Just replaced the cheap Chinese junk on our 32ft TT with a set. Has two blow outs on two years on the stockers. D rated tires couldn’t handle the weight and 65 MPH. These E Rated tires should be much better.

I've only had lighter and smaller trailers than you guys, but I've always repalced my hub covers with something like this - Ultra-Tow High-Performance Bearing Protectors Pair, Fit 1.98in. Hubs, Stainless Steel, Grease Level Indicators, Model# 5712940 | Northern Tool + Equipment. I like how the spring keeps some pressure on the grease and helps keep the bearings lubed (at least that's the reasoning behind these types of products).

My Diamond came with the bearing buddies like that but its better to repack the entire hub with quality grease and make sure they are tight. The Maxxis tire also comes in a D range so make sure you get the right one. Direct tire sells them online to your door.

@Tech_Rick Tip: Have a couple pieces of steel welded under the back corners if it happens to drag coming out of a gas station it will damage the bottom skin rail and the skin. The trailer should come with these drag rails or wheels but they don't. (ask me how I know) I have to fix mine after 3 years of nothing happening, then pulling out of drive at station didn't look steep but it was enough to drag and I was taking it at an angle to help, but right corner dragged.

When it comes to trailer tires, be aware that there are different speed ratings.

Made it to Kentucky safe and sound. I drove through a monsoon in Virginia and a blizzard in Tennessee, but all is well. The slingshot is still in the trailer, which is now tucked away safely in a barn. I'll unload it sometime in the next month if the temperature climbs above freezing.

What kind of tie downs are you gonna use? I really like e- trac. The way you have it could move sideways. I know it doesn’t sound right but I have seen it first hand. And look now you have a winter garage. Congrats on your new trailer.

Years ago I know of a 55 Chev that was almost totaled because of the way it was or was not tied down correctly. Trying to remember who that was but old age wins again.

Yup. I agree. I bought the etrack for it today. I'm waiting for the herculiner I put on the floor to dry, then I'll install the etrack.
-
I put Sherwin Williams floor coating on my floor and then did three rows of etrack, my motorcycle Condor wheel chock locks to the center etrack so I can move it depending on if I have the sling loaded too.

I've got the herculiner down and the etrack installed. Now I'm painting the inside walls of the trailer to match the Slingshot. Still need to get the cabinets and install them.
