Introducing the DDMWorks Skunkworks White Beast!

I don't know if Dave will acknowledge the existence of the skunkworks division at DDMWorks. After this video hits the internet he may have to.

All I can say is when your up close to this thing you will get chill bumps when it comes to life. The guy filming this was a pretty good ways from me. Turn up the volume and listen to the beast. Who says automatics can't be fun!

I will gladly give up the clutch and gear shift for instant shifts. I am working on the transmission tune everytime I get in it. Its a lot of work to make a transmission shift at the exact points you want it to. I have the regular shifting points pretty much spot on. The kickdowns are the hardest to dial in. It wants to shift down to many gears. That would normally be the correct thing to do because naturally aspirated engines need a bit of rpm to pull. But mine doesn't need rpm. It needs to feel the lug or load. Then the turbo pulls it up to speed.

I'm getting it though.... it's pretty predictable now.

funny thing was that I though I had broke an oil line the first time I broke it loose at a intersection. I actually pulled over and waited on the smoke to clear. It spins the tire so fast because it shifts instantly during the burn. You can hear it shift in the video. It just boils the back tire.

By the way.... That is a Mickey Thompson 295 wide tire its eating.

Yall wouldn't believe it. But I was running Wastegate pressure only. 11psi

I will dial it up as the engine goes thru a few heat cycles. That is about the 4th trip it has made since it was built. It probably has 200miles on it.

We should be good with 15 to 18 psi when I turn the controller on.

The ball bearing turbos spool so fast that it makes use of the 11psi very efficiently.

We never dynoed it before I left DDMWorks. I had been there for 6 days straight and I needed to get back home. Like i mentioned above it's still on 11psi of wastegate pressure. So I figure around 400 to 450 in that video. She should easily put over 550 down when i bump it up.

I just went and looked at my peak boost on my gauge. It showed 10.3psi. So that is about what I was thinking it was doing.

When you see it in person you can see that it has a very smooth unobstructed air path. That is what Dave was working on so long with it. So it comes down to how it uses that 10psi. He has definitely got some air flow with his turbo. And I never dreamed that ball bearings would make that much difference in the spooling of the turbo. When you turn the key off the turbo spools for a while.
