Diamond Cargo. I don't go to pick it up until April 14th. The Sling should fit in here with room to spare. It's 96” wide from wall to wall and 84” wide on the floor between the wheel wells. (Slingshot width is 77.6" I believe.) Trailer has an 89" rear opening with a ramp. Does anyone else have this trailer? How is it? Any issue with bottoming out driving up the ramp? Is it better to back in or nose in?
I just got a 8.5' X 16' enclosed trailer to haul the slingshot around. Pretty sure it'll fit....... right?

I have the same size trailer and the sling fits fine -- I do carry 2, 2 x 12 x 6' planks, sometimes I unload on uneven ground and it keeps the sling from bottoming out.

same as what I have, well mine is aluminum, but it's the perfect size for me.

Ditto. It is a great size and there is actually quite a bit of room to spare, even when driving the SS in forward. I bought a pack of race ramps and it makes it really easy to load/unload by yourself quickly.

Yep ... that’s a good buy. I have the same Diamond Trailer

no issues with mines- it’s been two yrs now.

@Tech_Rick, you will have about 1.5 - 2" of space on each side of the front tires. If your tires are stock. Mine are the same as stock SL size. Some members have a different rim and are a little wider

I thought so too, even though I have to drive down to Douglas, Georgia to pick it up.

I wonder how much these trailers vary with total inner width? I have 9.5 inch wide wheels on the front of my Slingshot and I still have a couple of inches of clearance on each side.

mine are the same, but depends on the off set of the wheels. @Tech_Rick, check on the price difference on aluminum. My trailer weighs about 1100 empty. With the sling inside, it weighs about the same as a steel trailer empty.

Take a look at TILT A HITCH. I installed one on my truck and it makes loading and unloading a breeze. Do not have to worry about the front wing scrapping at all. These are great trailers and I would suggest that you add additional recessed lashing points in the floor. I use ratcheting tire straps to lash my Sling down.

sorry, I lied, I just checked mine and it's 8.5x14.
-
Perfect size mine is 8.5 x 18 V nose

I really like the e-trac for securing the sling. Strap over tires and no worries, it doesn’t move. Worth the investment. Congrats on nice looking trailer. I have a 20 foot but use mine to haul classic truck and car, now slingshot also.

You guys got some NICE equipment!
When we get to MV we'll slide around behind the trees and unload so as not to be embarrassed!

I have an 8.5 x 24 Diamond and have after market wider wheels on both slings and either one will fit between the wheel wells with 2 inch on each side.
I’ve never backed mine in but usually you want the weight just in front of the front axle for better handling.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

totally agree, My weight was centered over the wheels so it was balanced perfect for the road. If I drove it in too much weight would be forward. I saw some place that you should take the total weight of the trailer, including your load, and balance the load for the correct tough weight. I might be wrong,.. I usually am
