They have orders to destroy or dispose of them....illegal to make them available....plus they probably have to account for them to get paid back.
New seat recall

Did they put the little white sign off sticker on your frame in the engine compartment?
Why, yes, yes they did add the little white sticker.

Dropped sling at dealer this morning. He told me that Polaris issued recall 2 days ago for bad or missing seat welds.
Don't know anything else, just passing it along.

Won't they be surprised; my stock seats are missing!

Most of the high crime in Texas is created at the city Mayors and state government offices.

My comment was to @Texas T ... who is just retiring as Chief of Police and many years on the department .... but I do understand the 'elected officials' in Texas and in Indiana all have their hands out...

Today I took my seat frames to the dealership to have them check on those welds in question. I tried using the mirror method without results. So by taking them out I got a good look. Still cold here so really no down time either. Anyhow my seats passed the inspection. Figured it would since I saw nothing wrong but by having the shops inspections and paperwork done to satisfy Polaris I'm covered.
I'm attaching pics of the welds. I don't know just which areas are in question but if one was to look at their seats and compare to these pics you'll know if you'll be replace your seats. Oh my seat bases show being manufactured a month apart as well as the backs being built at different times. -
My 2015 SL is on the recall list for the seat frames (both passenger and driver). However, I have not had an issue with them sliding.
My 2016 SL has a recall on seat brackets.

Next week will be the first week above freezing in our 165 day winter. The ice and snow from my back alley may disappear. Hopefully I'll be able to take my SS in for the recall before we get our last snowfall in May which is usually about 10" just to remind us we live in the shadow of the Rockies.
Maybe we can convince Polaris to give us a credit towards PRP seats??
-
Mine passed so no new frames for me.

I'm thinking 'heated' seats....

Seats were checked at Cycle Springs yesterday. I’m good!!! They also did a service on my brake warning light issue. Replaced two sensors. Under extended warranty. I need to add every time I have had an interaction with Cycle Springs in Clearwater I leave thinking “why can’t every business look after its customers as well as they do??” Seriously.
-
My seats passed muster as well. Got the warranty transferred to my name and they have a clock spring ordered under warranty for my turn signal repair.

Try and get 2 clock springs... Ask them to write it off...

So far the dealer here hasn't found any bad seat frames.

Maybe they're doing it wrong? Have they confirmed with Bigdog?
-
Yeah really need Bigdog to chime in here so we can make sure this isn’t just some government conspiracy!

Well, it was bound to happen. I took my seats in along with the rest of the Sling today for the seat recall. They told me mine were bad and pulled both seats out. They told me I was free to leave and I asked how I was supposed to drive home without them. They said it was not their problem. I asked if this had anything to do with Bigdog. They assured me it did not. When I asked when I could get my seats back they said Glomuary the Umpteenth. I think that this is proof enough that something bad is definitely happening. Hold on, someone is knocking at my door...
Sorry, it's past my bedtime!
