No argument there... But would have to be less than buying and shipping from Dubai...
@kev, you still working on something? Or on the back burner due to new e-commerce?
-
I'll take that bet sir

@kev, you still working on something? Or on the back burner due to new e-commerce?Yah @MiM I cannot believe the head space setting up this e-commersce site has taken , so yes not much else has happened lately. And I reached out to Dubai with an offer to rep their product here if it is available with production molds, pricing etc. No RESPONSE So I,m thinking they're more of a one of custom shop for those with unlimited budgets.

Messaged Jack and it looks like they will be releasing those inserts soon...
Guesstimates on price?
I'll say... $600-$800

ask him about that 4-wheel conversion and rear fender kit...

ask him about that 4-wheel conversion and rear fender kit...
Well bulletspeed does the 4-wheel work, he just did the rear body work, but yes, I'll ask cost and if it's a ship and bolt on kit...
-
$1 since were playing by the price is right rules!
-
$1,000 USD
-
ask him about that 4-wheel conversion and rear fender kit...
Okay, basic kit, raw black gel coat, where you'd prime and paint, $1800... Ship and bolt on...
That's for the back panel w/ fenders...
Asked about inserts and will report back when shared...

Personally I feel they're overpriced and under painted........ IMHO.

I agree... But...
"The tooling... The molding... The sales volume... Blah, blah, blah..."
Come on Walmart/Amazon mentality... Lower margins and more volume!

Adding an extra wheel takes it out of the autocycle classification description...and making it an automobile....and it doesn’t have all the required safety equipment to fall into that category. Legally. Sounds like a big can of worms....because you have done your own customization....it could require sending pictures to the state and a reclassification inspection and title....
I wanted to buy a trike from out of state and it was going to be treated as if it was just manufactured with all of the above requirements....if there were “salvaged” parts on it...they needed documentation to prove they were not stole parts.
The rules have been greatly changed....not like in the old days where you could get junk yard parts and customize anything..and be considered legal.
-
not necessarily true - you will need to check with your local DMV to determine what, if anything, will need to be done - I've had a conversation with DMV and was told it would be considered a kit car ..... we're not interested in doing the 4 wheel conversion but it came up in conversation
-
love those front inserts but 500 is overpriced especially just molded plastic and no paint.
200 would be a fair price I think
