I’m going to go to the cookout at @SlingRider’s Palatial estate. I’m not sure about Maggie. I just got promoted at work and my crazy work schedule just got more crazy. I still have my rooms booked but we have some events that I may not be able to miss. That’s what sucks about the entertainment business got work when the events are!

That post was difficult for me to like.....

I hope to make it to the Hitching Post this year. I won't make the Posse ride, as we plan to head to Maggie early. If things go as planned, we should have a good day ride in NC before your cookout. I hope also to make it over your way sometime for an Indy ride or get together, @SlingRider.

My job is a lot of hours but the one thing that makes it ok is I’m planning to be done at 52 here. So work hard for another 14ish years and get to enjoy free time later.

Will let you know well in advance. Two main things that I need to finalize. One is the agenda, several of us are coming in early to do as much riding this year as possible. Biltmore, 4 separate rides planned, plus time at the fairgrounds. Last year we didn't ride as much as we hoped to, and need to nail down the days we are doing what. The second is your carry laws. 37 state friendly for me.... yours is not one of them. Can you get me a day pass?

Yeah, I know...I'm not making any recommendations, but generally speaking I'd rather be judged by 12. But I understand.

Do you not have the Utah permit?

@KayTwo Yes, I do. Got it before the states went to reciprocity for the most part. Indiana had few that would honor before, I think it's over 30 now without the Utah.

Had to go look it up. Really thought SC honored UT. Huh.

I have a Florida and Illinois permit and I don’t think I’m legal in SC either.

I could be wrong, but I was thinking that for SC you had to be from a neighboring state with permit. For a somewhat gun friendly state, they are one of the strictest when it comes to anyone that doesn't live there. No, Utah doesn't work there. And that is the only state (along with Illinois.... that will never happen) that I can't carry in that I would likely go to. Illinois does allow me to carry in the car, and while at my "temporary residence", which would cover motels, and my brother in law's house. Not supposed to when I get gas or go into a restaurant or something like that. SC won't even allow that (if they know I have it that is).

SC accepts RESIDENT permits from the following states:

(In other words, if you have a permit from another accepted state but aren’t a resident of that state, it doesn’t count)

I might show up to Maggie Valley but I haven't decided yet. I was planning on the Vegas trip but I think I talked myself out of that. I would probably end up spending too much money in Vegas.
