You all have a safe trip home, I hated to miss another event, but hope to be ready for the winter events in FL.
I have extra rooms and garage parking if anyone heading through needs a stop over at crossroads I-57 X I-64 in So. IL -
I just checked the weather for our trip back home, it looks like we will set a world record for didstance driving in the rain (1,300 miles)

Stay safe. I just checked our 850 miles back to Denver and it actually looks pretty clear once we make it to Kansas.

Dieter, look at Interstate 70 out of St Louis and across. Looking dry.

Eureka Springs Subway.... anybody else notice the sign?
Saw that sign - hope she said "YES!" to both questions!

Wanted to say thanks to everyone who made me feel so welcome at Eureka Springs - especially @Painter and @Slingrazor!
The Captain was excited to hear about all the fun I had without her - she and I will definitely plan to take the time off and come together next year. We'll also plan on coming to some other events as well! -
Here are a few pics of the ride today. Ill upload the video when I get back to Alabama.

Please be safe my friend. That's a lot of wheel time to deal with rain. You will be the forum expert by then.

Here I am in a head to head race against the white beast
I'm sure glad I pulled in before him to the parking lot

Darn! You saying it cleared up enough in ES to get a ride in Sat?
I was stuck in my trailer for 18 straight hours during rain yesterday and overnight. Decided to pull out and go home at 8am this morning and hit solid rain all the way to Dallas.

We left out this morning around 9:45am.... should have cut out yesterday but held out hope... and when hope didnt show up... rain.... rain all the way from best western to Walnut Mississippi. And the temp was a cool consistent 60-62 until Walnut...
Was a great trip regardless. Good to see you all and enjoyed meeting yet even more folks like @Mississipp59 @larry and Judy @Doc&Ruby Arnold and Joe, Gene, @Jonathan Thompsons better half whose name escapes me .. too many that I can't remember names for, but I always remember the faces. We arrived 2 days early and got to see the event unfold.... I can definitely live with one crap-shoot of a day. Thank you all for making our first ES worth the drive.
Special thanks to @EjFord for the roadtrips, breakfasts, the slingshot decal, and the silver dollar.. we didnt leave Eureka completely broke...
Thanks @StickerDick for the awesome fenders.. X-amount of miles along pot hole city (Memphis) and across nearly 3 states... 2 in the rain... each "check" done during stops for gas and no issues... and the fenders spin puddled water to the outside. Unfortunate they didn't come with doors and a roof that didn't allow water to permeate the cabin...
Thanks @airoutlaw for letting me pack 74.6 lbs of "stuff" to haul on your newly built rack. Now if you could just engineer a way to get 74.6 lbs up two flights of stairs..
Love ya dear. Been a good week. Totally worth every second. -
I am glad every one enjoyed the event and sorry about the rides home in the rain. I still am sorry that I missed it.
-
Wish I could have said goodbuy to everyone. Had a blast the short time we had. I was plagued with a pile of mishaps this year before during and after but still had fun. Looking forward to next year.

NOW the sun comes out. Oh well, we had a fantastic time, had a few great rides, saw old friends, made new friends, and ate good food. Sad it had to end.
