I joined the club... looking forward to @StickerDick fenders
Welcome to the club brother. I have put them through some shady roads and still in one piece.

I really want to be a smart ass and crop a pick of the fenders but I would not stoop so low for fear of actually causing hurt feelings. I'll be good!!
Now about that back fender mount that I was talking to you about at MV! LOL
The other day, I was on a wet road,.. just missed a rain storm, and my fenders worked great. Kept all the water off my sling, a lot cleaner then with the stock fenders.

I have the bobbers. I hope they do the same job.

I will clean it up. I just figured it would trail off the end. I still haven't figured out what was being talked about. It was kinda just plopped right in the middle of this thread.
So some of yall will be missing a few post due to me pruning the post out.

nooooo now we are going to be missing points....
You evil evil evil overlord......
Old fender / mud flap removal. The triangle shaped brace with the hood pad on it. Do you remove it or not?
Drill out the 2 pop rivets toward the front of the sling and leave the triangle brace in place or drill out all 4 and remove it completely?
I took the whole thing out, with no problems. But I also have the hood pins
Drill out the two rivers towards the middle of the sling. Leave the 2 on the triangle. Remove the fasteners and the whole assembly comes off. The triangle can't stay on the sling with the fender removed.

Took those off when painting at Jim's... Boy were those a pain to remove!
2017 Fender / mudflap removal instructions...
After drilling out the pop rivets and removing the screws. SLIDE THE MUD FLAP TO DISENGAGE THE TAB. DO NOT JUST PULL ON IT
The only difference in a 2015/16 model is the fasteners are on the front side and there is double sided tape under the area where you drill out the rivets.
Great post.
The fenders on mine (2016) had tabs on the back on them in a track on the side of SS. Had to slide fenders forward to remove. Someone, who we will not name, forgot to tell me that little secret. I pulled on them for ever trying to get them off at first.

If I remember correctly he did tell you.......after you called again.

I love you guys!!! I don't have to write instructions, they are all here!!! And Robert..... You need to post a Panda Head Emoji on here!
Just pulling in from the trip with Kay. 5500 miles all but 70 we’re back roads and rough State Highways. @StickerDick s fenders were flawless! I friggin love these things! The look and the function are spot on.
On the trip it was like 2015..... People standing around asking questions.... Remember..... “What is that? Who makes it? How fast will it go? How much is it?” All my preprinted replies I’d thrown away in 2016!
But.... Those who had seen one commented on the fenders and how much better they were from stock!
Mark.... You have a WINNER!
Glad to hear you and the MRS made it home safe and sound and had a great time. I have to agree with the look for your sling...it is absolutely fantastic and I do think the fenders brought it home!!
SSREAPER
Sounds like an epic trip
Glad you are both home in 1 piece
I had no idea the mud flaps would be so hard to remove! After I had the little oopsie, I started to remove the cracked flap. Good thing I didn't keep at it! Must make it to Eureka Springs for fenders!!
