connecting my samsung to audio

hi, i have a samsung s5 android, and a pioneer headunit, i cant seem to connect the phone book to the have it show on the pioneer headunit!. all the other things work fine except this.? the headunit is gray on the area where the phone icons are? any help..thanks,,i am novice so simple is better for instructions.LOL thanks

ok folks found out that i needed a program on my phone called CAR MODE....it works great,thanks for reading,,:)
