Yep, just block it off with bolt. Extra port is for boosted applications...

Man that was fast, thx a bunch. I watched Slingmods install and it looks pretty easy. Looks like the most work is taking off the side panels

Like @Tripod said, keep it blocked off, also go ahead and put a wrench on it to make sure it is tight. A lot of those that ship to us have the plug installed, but it is not tight, so after driving for a little bit the plug will come out, so make sure it is tight before driving.
The extra port is for running a wideband O2 sensor along with the stock O2 sensor if you have a wideband gauge installed.
Hope that helps,

would a semi lock loctite work on threads or be recommended.
-
No locktite, just make sure that they are tight and snug. Typically, we put a little anti-seize on the threads to make it easier to remove them later on if we have to install a wideband.
-
You ever remove stock manifold without removing side panel. Sure looks like you could just unbolt stock muffler from manifold and swap out without removing it.
New Welter exhaust going in next month -
You DO NOT have to remove the side panel for just installing the header.
-
thats what I was hoping somone would say.
-
Now I did have to remove two exhaust studs from the head. No big deal but the header just wouldn't fit in between the frame and the studs.
-
It sounds like you won't need to but removing and installing the side panel is not a big deal. I have the Alpha side exhaust and header that I put on my 1st Sling, then removed after it was wrecked and installed on my 2nd Sling. I have removed the panel numerous times for various exhaust tweaks on both machines and can do it in about 10 minutes or less. You can also pull all but the last, difficult to reach bolt at the back and pull it away from the engine bay and work around it.

Hey Rob,
I have had to take out 9 bolts so far and still cant sneak this friggin header by the frame. Is there a trick?
Man would it have killed 1320 manufacturer to have slid one exhaust port over to the right 1/4". Would slide ride by the head bolt no problem -
Instead of trying to pull it off, roll it down like it is on a pivot from the bottom bolts. There will be a sweet spot the manifold will clear. I have done 9 like that, all came off.
-
Well I tried to do it without pulling muffler and side panels and that bitch would not go in and I was just wasting time and throwing F bombs.
After pulling the muffler piece of cake.Took her for a test spin, immediately feel instant throttle response and giddy up.
Can't wait till the Welter Duals go on.Thx for input guys

After pulling my exhaust out once for replacement. Then once for a reweld. Then once more for a reweld I’m becoming a pro at removing that panel. LOL

@bjk81 how many times you rewelding that muffler, won’t need much more to be solid weld muffler
Its kinda funny because the replacement I got came already welded. I’m at work right now but I will In the next few days count the welds. If it breaks again I will sadly move on

I know you read all problems I had Love the side exit but now I am going to go to my muffler guy and see if they can adapt with piping from old one and use side exit. Don’t really care if too quiet just hate hole in side of fender.
-
Does anyone know where I can order 1320 header bolts that attach to the exhaust? I went to the 1320 website but couldn’t find them but I’m a internet shopping idiot so that’s not a shock.
-
These may be Alpha bolts I need actually I’m not sure but I’m dead in the water I had two back out and I lost them. I had to have the sling trailered home.
