Thanks @MACAWS, you said it and I did not have to and besides, where does the money go to?

I've been a Found On Road Dead guy for years, but times are changin. The Tundra I'm looking at has the most bang for the buck for my purpose. I'm still on the fence though.

They're built here. So at least some of the money stays home
-
In a year there will be a new Jeep Wrangler pickup (JT). Just an option if you can hold off.

Look at the Silverado with the 6.2 and 8 speed trans - have one and love it. (big V8 and I get 20 MPG + on the highway)
I bet there will be some good deals as the 19's are coming out with a new body style -
Ive had my Tundra for 7 years now, its been TRD Supercharged since 2011 and ZERO problems. That truck has broken a lot of hearts of "sports car" drivers lol....
-
2012 platinum and love it. Not the most updated on tech in the cabin, but a great truck. I would buy another in a heartbeat
-
had a "relic"- 2000. Bought in 20111 or 2013, sold in 2017 for $500.00 less than I paid for it. Had 58,000 when I got it- 124,000 miles when I sold it. Total maintenance (OK- don't yell at me on this one...........) 1 oil change and 1 battery. NEVER gave me any issues! Was a work horse, and if I wanted another truck- would buy one in a heartbeat!
-
I have been considering a Tundra as well. A lot to like about them. Hard to believe they can't improve the mpg rating though.

WHAT?!?! You wasted money on an oil change?!?!

I'm pulling the trigger on one in Idaho. It's a 2016 with a whopping 881 miles on it.

Road trip! Do you need a copilot? Or navigator? I know where Moscow is...

Dammit! I should have thought of that. I'm flying to Boise Saturday morning and driving it back. One hour flight time and seven hours drive time.
I know where Moscow is too. My band played there a couple times in the late 70s

Congrats @BryanL sounds like a nice find. Put up a pic once you've got it.
By the way, what did/do you play? I've been thinking about starting up a new band - as long as I can be in bed by 9.
-
I was a sound man. Can't sing and didn't have the patience to learn an instrument, but I had a good ear (for a few years anyway).
-
Congrats @BryanL, those are nice trucks. Made in the USA and up until a couple years ago it was the most American made truck(% of U.S. made parts). I think I read that Ford took that honor back.
I personally like that they offer a retractable rear window. When I saw one riding with the rear window down I thought it was so cool.
