Friday afternoon double din cover.
I was looking for a double din cover that would blend in and protect my screen from
the sun and “son’s of bitches” if you know what I mean. Out of sight - out of mind.
I have the 2016 base model and it came with the center console cubby hole. Well I took
the slingshot metal ( yes metal - go figure EVERYTHING on the slingshot is plastic but
not the cubby cover) cover off the cubby, cut out a piece of plastic, painted it with
automotive spray paint front and back,glued it to the inside, put some door trim
around the edges and wala! A double din cover that sits on top of the unit and is a
great cover. I have the Scosche double din plastic unit so not sure how this will fit
on other units but it is sweet for this one.
Forgot to say... this is for when you are parked. It is a "grab it out of the glove box" cover.
