SOON... Stacy’s Mark7 is on it’s way and all the stuff from Eastwood has shipped (it’s going to be a BUSY weekend for sure)!
The auto tool changer for the CNC is being configured as we speak... and I hope to finish setting up the rest of the components by Friday.
*sadly, time is not on my side as I just walked in the door (long day at the office).
Let me guess - Just the tip I promise?

Two tips are better than one!
@ericastar76 you have seen under my hood, want me to come up and help you wire everything up. lol

Looks like someone is about to get busy tonight (the bulk of my Eastwood order arrived today)... SHAAAAAWEEEETTTT!!
However, tomorrow... well that's going to be a BANNER DAY!
SHOPSMITH PARTY at our place!!
Welding cart, plasma/welding table and both machines have been assembled/configured (just need to wire a 50amp line and we’re ready to rock)!
Powder coating gun/supplies will stay in the box until we make a booth to paint.
Sadly, the top of the blast box was damaged in shipping. I’ll be on the phone with Eastwood tomorrow to get a few panels swapped out.
Outside of that... it’s a BIG DAY TOMORROW (and we’re both excited)!!!
One thing you'll definitely want add is an 8' ground rod outside in a moist area....(hehehehe like that would be hard!!) It will surely help with your powder sticking to the metals easier and save on alot of cuss words and re-sprays!! I bought mine at Lowes for around $10 but was a HUGE PITA for me and the son to hammer into the ground!

when they installed my roof top solar they sunk 2 ground rods near the main panel. The guy drove them in like it was nothing using a jack hammer - I dont own one, but after watching him I would rent one if I ever had to do another ground rod check out this video

Very cool video... I do have to head over to Lowe’s later today and will check on rental costs. If it’s too expensive, I was thinking of attaching a garden hose to a 10’ piece of aluminum tubing and use the water/pressure to help hone-out a pocket for the copper rod.
*Have to be careful with placement... it’s a townhouse and 6’ spacing can become an issue (there are already a couple outside near the house) and we have inspectors here all the time.
When we grounded our machines at the shop we drilled a hole in the floor by the power panel or transformer (many of our machines run on DC for smoother operation) and drove the copper rod into earth. I was cleaning up my play room and found some of the pieces I made, most are used in beer/energy/soda can lid making. Our shop tolerances were held at .0002, hence some of the "spare/test" pieces.
Looks like your going to have a really nice shop when it is done. Following this thread.slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/69024/slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/69026/

GOOD TIMES HAVE ARRIVED!!
@ericastar76 very cool stuff sisters. Looking forward to your "up and running" announcement. FYI : your copper (if you have copper) cold water line is the best ground you'll find and possibly easiest to attach a ground wire to.
