Good post, Jeff. For looks and sound I really enjoy my Alpha side exit. I know I would want to replace it with a similar one if/when mine dies.
Ditto! Definitely no down exit for me - I have a 150 ft. long gravel driveway. I really like the sound - not too loud, not too quiet.
It’s almost same exit point as factory. Straight down . Sound wise it is loud 1320 header and 1320 down exhaust

You will hear you at end of drive way

Good market here to help out all those who have cut a hole in their side panel. If you make an exhaust that exits through the same location it will sell.
That being said, I loved my XXXXX Side Exit, but I would never go back to it after running the Welter Stealth with the SC.
Anything Jeff comes up with will be better than what took up the space before. (No pressure here )
I totally agree. I still feel that the rear exit is a much more pleasant driving experience. But if a side exit fits a persons needs or wants my intention is to give them a reliable piece to fulfill their need.

@Jeff Welter, will a 2" bagger work with a SC?
I really like seeing you reference the SC. When are we going to do it? @Shatneyman

Dave can explain or tell you more in depth the actual numbers but the answer is
yes but at a lesser hp than the 2 1/2” exhaust will allow you.

It may just be me, but I'm finding the details and variations in this thread totally exhausting!
Continue as before......

I can dream, someday I'll be able to do it. Just looking at the steps and process. Trying to keep my dream alive,... I think I can, I think I can!

@Jeff Welter awesome post. Thanks for jumping in here. With all of the current exhaust issues that folks are having demand just might be there
I wanted you to do something like that for past 8 months.. I looked at you systems a bunch of times, just wanted side exit. As you know from past post, my alpha blew apart and no help from alpha. I did get a bit of discount from supplier and bought 1320 v2 , just like side exit better. So I completely lost $600 and spent another $400 to be able to ride. Waiting for your new product. Thanking you in advance. JUST SAYIN
I'm interested in where this goes. Love the variable exhaust from Alpha, hate knowing it's a POS that's going to die sooner than later (based on other folks' experience). Would love to know if there's a way to save it or recreate it. And yeah, bet there would be a good demand for a reliable variable exhaust.

Gee... Tell us how you really feel....
Jeff is the man is building me something custom out the back right know I think u guys will like when we get it done. We are going out the back buy the drive belt with 2 carbon cans to get sound farther away from the driver and we hope it will be a good place for the fumes exit. I have already tried all the other exhaust and just was not happy. Jeff was willing to go above and behind to build me something one off. I cant wait and my new DDMworks supercharger cant wait to!!

Just take off the exhaust and weld the flap so it can't/won't rattle. Other have done this with success thus far. @Ted Nelson
