I was just at one of these in AZ. You would think there would be a ton of people running over 150mph, but that just isn't the case.
Anything over 140mph is really fast!
Anything over 200mph is flying!
Anything over 250mph is insane! -

Yea I agree. We should not have a problem looking like we belong there. I noticed mustangs and other fairly fast cars were in the 135 to 145 range.

Got my "New" lower wing started mounting it up... a Special thanks to @Slingrazor Trent and Kent Terry of Central Florida Slingers! You guys ROCK! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
-
I just found out that if any of you guys want pitpasses, I nor @rabtech can buy anymore than what we already had bought at time of our registration, but at the gate the days of the race, we can buy more pitpasses, they are more than the regular spectator passes, but I think Pit passes will be much better for getting up close and personal with some of these "Faster than I'll ever go cars and bikes".
I don't know how many passes @rabtech bought, I only bought 1 at registration, so I will be at the gate 6:30am on the 20th buying at least 10 more, but you have to be there at time of purchase to get one.

We are staying at the same hotel as Robert aka @rabtech. Hopefully we can get together for an early breakfast that morning and then head to the track.
Hopefully we can take care of everything at the entrance to the track/airport. It would be the "PITS" to travel all that way and then not be in the pits!
-
Sounds like a plan. I'll be there Fri and we can figure out at the hotel how to.get more pit passes under my name also.

I got those two years ago.... @kenny_h installed them for me and we got them from @rabtech... he had several at the time. I looked on ebay to see if they still make them, I forget the name brand, but they run about 16.00 dollars each and are bright as hell. And they fit in the holes nicely.
-
Thanks @'StickerDick maybe @'rabtech will chime in and let me know what or where to find them.
-
I found them on Ebay a few years back - not sure this exact light is still available but this should help you narrow it down to something similar
3.5" 18W round Driving Lights
They were sold by a company called EyourlifeHope it helps - I will look some more

@MWSlingshot
These may also work Rugged Ridge 15209.01 3.5" 18W Round LED Light
Check with @Ruptured Duck I am sure he would know for sure -
@Ruptured Duck
Would these be a good choice to mount for low beams as has been done before? Would it be something you might be able to put together as a kit? -

I think they are considered for off road use only -

@Ruptured Duck
Would these be a good choice to mount for low beams as has been done before? Would it be something you might be able to put together as a kit?@MWSlingshot the Rugged Ridge lights suggested are a very bright white light and are supplied as a private label from a very good (quality) manufacturer. LED lights have become a very tricky market where I would say the old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true. If it sounds too good to be true than odds are you are correct. I suggest sticking with a known brand. I sent @MiM a set for him to test so he could give you feedback. A special mount will be required and the newer 2017 up US models really make adding aftermarket lights fun.
I personally now run these newer design LEDs with Amber running lights built in. Rugged Ridge 15209.31P.S.... I got to design the housing so I'm a little biased towards them.

Haven't installed yet Patrick... Might be awhile...
Have everything needed, minus the mounts, but still out of town and these 2 weeks off haven't been used like I had hoped...
Damn!
Ps. Because they're so bright was planning on putting on smoked vinyl to darken them up a bit and going to only turn them on at night. Plan on placing these 4 on the outer lights and just keeping centers on at all times, with outers just at night.
