I've been happy with Rigid from Home Depot. I think most big names are pretty good. It was the lifetime battery replacement that sold me on the Rigid.
I did have a Dewalt back in the day, it was great. When I replaced it with another Dewalt, the new one's battery life wasn't as good. That was 15 years ago, I'm sure they are back on track by now.
I have been procrastinating on the purchase of a cordless impact tool but finally my 10 year old 18v Black & Decker batteries decided to die which is not a bad run for a $35 drill that came with 2 batteries and light(bought it in 2007)
After checking into the lifetime batteries replacement(sounded too good to be true) it really seems to be the case so I just ordered this from homedepot.com
Thanks @WOLF and @Bill Martin this thread/info couldn't have come at a better time.

Zach who works here part time and helps with development works for the company that designs Ryobi and Rigid tools. He has designed several tools there and also the battery packs. He told me about the difference between the 20 volt and 18 volt batteries out there comes down to how you want to measure them. The 20 volt batteries measure a peak voltage that the battery is capable of, but they do not deliver any more power than the 18 volt batteries, or something like that anyway. We have been using and abusing the Ryobi 18volt stuff here for years and it works great and is what we also use at all of the events we go to. The Rigid stuff is nicer internally than the Ryobi stuff and if you are planning to use it a lot, I would recommend going that way.

^^^ Nice kit @Neosolidus!
I like the Milwaukee batteries as you can buy them with high ampacity - up to 9 AH!

@Neosolidus it is truly a lifetime guarantee, I have used it once already. Just be sure to register them online.
Full Lifetime Warranty | RIDGID Professional Tools
I failed to register something once and was very sad that not doing so made the difference. Having a receipt wasn't enough, it has to be registered.
