so does it need zeroed every time you gas up?
Yes so you know what each tank gets. I normally get 20 to 22mpg at 90mph. In town putting around maybe 25 but my foot is a little heavy.

Ok, I zeroed today and took a 2 hour local ride...it’s indicating 28-29 mpg...

I have never ever got close to that. Was you driving 40mph
Driving at 65 to 70 the dash shows 29-31 and when I check it manually it is usually 30 to 32

I could watch it changing a few tenths up and down depending on what gear I was in or if I was going up or down a hill... when I bought it last year I had 720 miles on it and it was getting 22 mpg...then it got up to 25....now I’m running a CAI and the welter duel...straight pipes..runs like a new machine...with over 7000 miles...so it’s loosened up some..
46 Years ago I had a new Suzuki 90cc that got 60 miles to a tank...years later I bought a used one with many more miles on it....it got 90 miles to a tank...exact same bike.
I average 25+ MPG, when I behave myself,
20+ when I get it on with who ever wants to show how fast their import (with a $10.00 fart can,) can go.
WOW...22...25...30 My car only get 15.
I need to ride the sling alot more!!
SSreaper
my 4x4 dodge ram gets about 17 around town. Every chance I get I leave the truck home and take the S/S. .
Every Slingshot will do 130mph. You just need to rev it out in 4th gear.
These words are true. 1/2 dozen visits to the track confirm this. 5th gear is for MPG only.
Rev it out in 3rd on the way to 4th, you will get to 130 faster.
We are getting around 27 MPG in the winter, and 30+ in the summer with the SlingShot, three times better than our 71 and 72 Chevy pickups but about half of what our VW TDI Jetta makes....................

Hm.... the best I have ever seen is 28.8 and that was babying the gas like if i was carrying a bunch of eggs and did not want an omelet, never went over 3k rpm and kept it right @55.
My usual driving gets me 25 , I am not a speed daredevil like most of you but I do keep my RPMs high for quick get out of dodge moments plus the engine purrs quite nicely over 4k RPMs
