I understand the position, and your choice! I'd take anything I wanted from hers and transplant to yours. End up with one Sling that had the known and proven changes you wanted. As for the Jeep, I get that too. We still have both of our Harleys, at least for now. I only rode 625 miles and Sharon only rode 450 miles this past season. We use the Sling much more, pushing 26,000 in just two seasons. There may come a day that the Harleys leave, and a Jeep would be high on the toy list for the replacement. I wouldn't rock climb with it, but it would be nice to run around it as an alternative to the SS at times, or if I wanted to take the grand kids with us. I think we'd get much more use out of a Jeep than the bikes at this point. We still enjoy the ride when we get out on them, but people are just so inattentive nowadays. We just feel safer in the Sling, and enjoy it just as much as we did 2 wheels.
So, what would you do?

First part of the tear down complete. All I have to do is take the hood apart then I can start the build.
If any one would like pictures of certain. Areas of the sling torn apart, let me know. Below is the gear box so the adjustment bolts can be seen. -

Can't wait to see what you are up to

So @Slingrazor, you can take the top of the dash off with the windshield attached and in one large piece??? That looks like it would make installing a new radio really easy.

Would that also be a good way to close up any holes that are letting heat into the area behind the radio?

SELL the Jeep Felecia, where are your priorities!
sell it and buy the new JL coming out in Jan. Then you guys can support me both with the Jeep and the SlingShot....

Joking aside looking forward to what you do. Will the top still be used?

The MeanSling top will always be part of my sling. Now the one we sell, the 2015, will have the top included if someone will give me $16,500. Will have custom paint, PRP seats, harnesses, windrestrictor, Alpha Shorty header and Variable exhaust, DDM coolant tank, house reroute, hoses, short throw shifter, Bieldstien shocks, 6 light LED conversion, and possibly your top. Will see.

Garage has sh*t everywhere. I have given explicit instructions for nothing to be moved because it makes sense to me in a weird way. Finished stripping most of the 16.5 today, swapped the brakes, shocks, and wheels as well. Tomorrow I plan on pulling the dash and moving the stereo to the 15. I'll have to admit, it is kind of fun in a twisted kind of way.

What it look like before. It's look is going to morph over the winter. After I finish putting the 15 together and get it ready to sell, I have a lot of glassing and painting to do before the new year.
