(Pic) - ( WHICH LOOKS THE BEST?) - Ducati: Panigale V4 vs 1299 vs 1098

Looks only (because you asked for looks specifically).... I prefer the 1098. It has a fast look to it (like the others) but more mechanical looking. I've always love the look of the up swept exhaust coming out behind and below the seat. That said, I do also like the low exhaust exit look they have come up with on the other two.

After that, I'd more likely take either of the new ones over it. Newer and larger displacement usually means quicker, possible suspension upgrades, possible brake upgrades, and the obvious fact that the exhaust low will be cooler for the rider. And who wouldn't get excited about a new Ducati with a V4?

If anyone were in the market for any of these, one wouldn't be going wrong with any of the 3. All 3 are more bike than the vast majority of most riders on the road today can fully utilize.

All ducatis come with Brembo brakes and Ohlins suspension as well as ohlin steering dampeners, I own a 1198R Corse Edition and it is such a refined machine from the get go that the only mod that I have done in 7 years of ownership is a full exhaust system by Akrapovic which is hands down the best looking and sounding exhaust for them, just be warned that it is a 5k mod(and people whined that welters were expensive).

V4 hands down. And sounds better.

Looks-wise I'd take the simpler more muscular look of the 1098. Performance-wise I'm undecided. Please send me one of each for an honest opinion. I wouldn't kick any of them out of bed in the morning!

thanks, this pic is at least 4 years old was taken during a "Flood Run" I know one of them was the biggest BMW i had ever seen, as big as a GL1800 anything more than that would be guess work

My 1st encounter with a motorcyclist in my Slingshot was when a BMW K 1300 pulled up next to me at a light. He was admiring the Sling and told me it looked like fun. I was admiring his bike and said, '1300 eh? What kind of HP does that churn out'? He said, '175, you'? I smiled and said, '173'. If we were waggin' weenies, which we weren't, I would have come up just a little short. I looked up his specs when I got home and found it listed at 173. Lesson learned. You can round up - on horsepower too!

I have always been fond of the 1098 because of its connection to the 999. The 999 has to be the sexiest bike ever built. A view from the top shows her ample breast, thin waist, and nice a$$.
