I have a 2017 SLR. My battery dies if I am not able to start it up within 5 days. I had no problems until I purchased an alarm system for it. Could this be because a Bad ground. Or is there something else I might be able to check?
Battery dies after 5 days of no starting

Welcome aboard @A-Team SS - looking forward to pictures of your ride and adventures
If memory serves me correctly that is a known issue with the small battery, security system, and not running it every day or every other
Definitely check the connections and if everything is good there consider upgrading to a bigger battery

.
If your alarm has remote monitoring or a perimeter sensor you leave active then absolutely yes .....
The later models have a very small battery, barely suited for starting .....
An automatic battery tender should be standard fare for everyone, alarm or not ..

Thank you. It looks like I will have to do some digging around.

I think I found your problem. You're supposed to drive them daily.
Don't listen to @V-SHOT, he only drives when the weather is warm and sunny.
Welcome to the madhouse!

A Few Photo's. Still trying to learn the navigation of posting

Welcome @A-Team SS! There's definitely info here on your issue and I seem to remember some members discussing marine type battery switches to kill the battery entirely when in the garage. Enjoy the ride!
Quick question: do the 2017s still have the munchkin battery?
-
Unfortunately yes they do.

@A-Team SS as @KayTwo said if you don't drive them daily you are bound to get smited by the slingshot goddess, it is best to please her and go on a ride everyday.

I use a group Unfortunately yes they do.
I have a costco battery(interstate G34 i think) , in august there was a 16 days stretch where i could not ride it due to rain and the battery did not die, not bad for like $76 compared to the $250+ optimas go for.
However remember that your experience might vary depending on whether you have properly installed/designed electronics.

Thank you. I am going to look into a upgrade.

Thank you. I am going to look into a upgrade.
You’ll need a battery tray mod to go to a larger battery, just so ya’ know...

Thanks for the heads up.
