Okay, I am planning on getting my wheels powder coated, but didn't want to be without the ride in the down time.
So I saw a listing on ebay Premium Wheels Wasn't sure what the deal is, Polaris dealer no longer selling Slings. But they have sold more than 100 sets of these things??!? Who stocks that many?
Only thought is they were a clearance dealer, bought out take-offs, excess inventory, maybe working with Polaris to move obsolete inventory.
Anyway, got home from business trip, to find UPS delivered.
This is Polaris part # 2880605, Premium 18"/20" wheel set. INCLUDES new rear shock mount, and 15 OEM lug nuts, with mounted/balanced wheels and tires.
These are same size as stock on SL, fronts are 225/45ZR18, rear is 255/35ZR20. Same Kendas that come stock.
Factory sealed boxes were marked Left and right for the fronts. Center hubs still have protective plastic on them.
New tires, little molding nubs and paint marks still intact.
I asked seller a question about condition, and to hedge (my guess) he advised like new, as he likely wasn't sorting thru all the choices. As of a week ago, he had 40 sets left.
Anyway, these are $1899 at Polaris, and from some online sellers, but he is selling for $440 or $470 with double bubble windshield. Including shipping via UPS to me.
Great deal, now I just need to decide which ones I'm gonna paint!
Thought I would pass along, turned out better than I expected, as I was expecting something dinged or take-offs with some miles.
