will leaving that late get us back before cold sets in?

It should. With stops and lunch in Detroit its about 6 hours. But I don't want hold you guys up. We can always catch up at a later date.
-
Should be okay then, six hours plus lunch should get us back by 6pm and it should still be warm then. You know us old folks get creaking in the bones.

I put feelers out to a couple other guys, but they have to work.

Younger brother and his wife may follow us in a rented mustang convertible, if they can find one. He rides a Interstate Valcury but his wife has back issues, hence the mustang.

Man, y'all are missing out. Had a beautiful ride up the Clackamas river then thru some really good looking forests to Detroit Lake. We ate at The Cedars Restuarant then rode past the lake and down to hwy 213 and back up to Oregon City, only 180 miles but a great time by all.

Another beautiful day another great ride. Thanks again to @BryanL for leading the way and thanks to @LargeCar for picking up the tab! It was nice to meet your brother and his lovely wife. Have a safe trip home to OK later this month and well do it again next year. Cheers to ya, you're all good folk!

This was a great way to say goodbye to our nice weather. The sights were beautiful. The ride was great. And the conversations were better!

Anyone want to join us Saturday evening to ride through Portland Christmas Light Show at Portland Raceway | Winter Wonderland
We're planning to meet up at 5pm

I'll run this up the flagpole. Are you taking the Slingshot? I've been out the last two sunny days but it's 27 degrees this morning. Probably won't get the wife out after dark...
-
Guys I would love to be there for the ride with you'll. But getting there from home is a nightmare, mainly due to Oregon's non double tow policy. It adds 1600 miles to an 1800 mile trip from home to Milwaukie. We did have a nice ride Monday of this week, the 75 degree weather was great. This punched my ride every month of the year ticket. We have a drive through light show in Chickasha OK that we might try if our 12 degree weather warms up some. Have fun guys post some pictures.

You could always have her drive the car to the meet up point. Then she could ride in the SS through the lights. And laugh at us all the way home while we freeze.

Yeah, Oregon is funny about pulling doubles with a pickup.
We'll get pics up after thawing out.

I like it! Do you have other Slingshots coming?

I'm working on getting a couple. There's a guy on Facebook that brought it up. The others are folks I've ridden with before.
Nothing in stone yet.
