Hope you enjoy them, @Cameron Roberts. Best if you enjoy them from your favorite chair....given your recent track record, I recommend against you smoking and walking. Get well soon.

I'm out in the beautiful weather and this oily black partagas 1845 is lit. Makes me glad to be a free man.

Amen, brother. That's one of the best sticks to burn, in my opinion.

I saw the wrapper and knew it was time to grab the cutter and lighter.

No, just a freezer baggie, rolled up to get out as much air as reasonably possible.

I loved having a cigar now and then back in the day. Reading thru this thread brought back many memories. I have a cousin that is more like a best friend/brother to me. We would sit out on my patio on a weekend evening, looking at the stars and enjoying a good cigar. About 20 years ago, he brought over a very light cigar, but the name eludes me now. He also had some Port, after cutting the end, we dipped it in the Port, then fired it up. It was the cleanest and best burning leaf I've ever put fire to. I'd hit it a time or three, then sit and talk. Every time I took a pull off it, it still had coal on it and would come right back. It lasted well over an hour, without a relight. We had a glass of Port also. We sat there looking at the stars, talking about everything from politics to religion to the meaning of life. Solved most of the world problems that evening, or at least seemed like it.
I gave up smoking cigarettes in Oct 2004. I had 4 cigars over the next year. I've not had one in 12 years, and very likely I won't ever again. Smoking was always a weakness to me, I have a hard time just having on now and then. Seems when I put fire to the leaf, I'm back to a pack or more a day habit.

Well, what'll it be tonight?
A Partagas 1845, I think.
Fire it up!

Man oh man. We just got back from a serious track day. If I wasn’t so damn tired a nice stick would be a welcome sight. Maybe tomorrow. Glad you got a chance to sit down with a cigar!

La Herencia Cubana. Super mellow. Great smoke. Good way to chill and reflect on today, 4th anniversary of my dad's passing. No condolences necessary, just spending some time "finding" him.
