What type / brand do use?
Who uses an alarm on their slingshot.

If you touch the Sling it's even worse -
Most of the time I do take the keys out of the bike. About Bill's comment above....that's Angie's reaction --- 1,2,3 for youse on Bill or 3 anybody else who
might mess with the Slingshot. -
Scorpio SR-i900 with perimeter sensor option
-
Viper 3105 with prox sensor.
-
Crimestopper 302 two way.

I looked into getting LoJack when I bought my sling but they have really dialed back their business at the time and weren't doing bikes at that time. I may contact them again.

.
Same here ....with RFID.
Yes, I have the RFID also
-
Have any of you had issues with the wind blowing your cover causing it to move and setting off the alarm while sitting in a parking lot?
-
Yes I have. But you can dial down the sensitivity of the proximity sensor which will help.

Saturday 4/30 I'm having Best Buy install the Viper 3305V with proximity sensor, tilt sensor and back-up battery.

-
Yes, I have the RFID also
@Tripod & @Orangeman....did you guys install these yourselves, and if so, how was the install...any issues, and tips????
I'm thinking about buying a system, and want to know if install could be problematic, or fairly straight forward, Thanks! -
This could be one of those [how-to] post that can only go so far. After a certain point in the instructions it would be like a [how-to] steal my slingshot..

I have this one for tracking http://www.kryptonitelock.com/en/realtime-gps.html It works very well, and only uses three wires. The annual fee is $60.

is there a limit to the daily updates on the kryptonite alarm?
And if there isn't a limit , do they offer a plugin for a website to allow the feed to be pushed to that plugin. (can we put the tracking info on a website of our own)

Viper 3305V with Proximity Sensor and Voice warning module and speaker with PA microphone, professionally installed ( difficult even for
tech who has done hundreds of Viper alarms)
I personally would NOT recommend doing an installation with all of the features yourself. (just MHO)
Alarm works very well and the "talking" voice feature gets just the right amount of attention.
My alarm is programmed to say "I know you want to look and get inside, BUT I suggest you step away from my ride"
