Work got crazy today. Ended up working 12 hours, looks like the standard for awhile. After I got away (went in at 6am, got off 6:30pm) I went to a town between work and home and got a sandwich for supper. My wife had Volleyball in Cambridge City tonight. So I text a friend of mine that lived where I got the sandwich. He had wanted to take a ride in the Slingshot since I got it. Since his wife was away tonight, I thought it might be a good time. He was good with it, and after only a few miles mentioned that his neighbor had told him that several old planes were landing in a field nearby. We went... and this is what we saw.....
What a Day!

Great pictures Brent. I love looking at the old Cubs, and tail dragger Cessna's. Got a ride in a Stearman many years ago and there is nothing like it. Thanks for the photo s.

This was in a field just north of Winchester. I found out yesterday, that years ago, a plane made an emergency landing in that field on July 19th. It has been repeated and grown, and the people that own the field have hosted it for years. They had a full spread, big tents, grills with food laid out, everyone was friendly. Two of the planes were giving rides also. I think that the plane owners have tied the Hagerstown with it, do them both at the same time. I guess this has been going on for a good long time. Only 13 miles from my house, I may be the only person in the area that didn't know it! Hagerstown is only about 20 miles from me also.
