Ugh... Miserable throughout Mississippi... Not much better in Alabama.. Sorry @rabtech...
Anyway, in Birmingham and 2 1/2 hours to go! Desperately want my hotel bed and shower and dryness!
I'm sure y'all ( @Bubblehead, @ericastar76) will be in bed by the time I'm in... About 10:30pm.

Sorry buddy hope your trip gets dryer soon! Be safe out there!

I'm here! Made it to the Westin... So tired... But need to get everything unpacked... @Bubblehead, I'll text ya soon, but will just see y'all tomorrow...
So much rain... My TC light turned on maybe once though... It turned on more times for the Sling I was traveling with (stock wheels, not a Kenda tire)... Not sure if my tire brand/model/size had anything to do with that... And there were puddles at times... I even worried when switching lanes, but luckily nothing happened... Pleased with my wheels and tires so far...
Thanks again everyone for the well wishes...

Speaking of wind drag... I wonder how the roll bar bags are going to affect the ride (if anything at all)?
Curious because we are eventually going to replace our back storage compartments with speakers and will rely on that method for traveling.I'm running the SS Luggage bags. I bought them last fall, before @Ruptured Duck came up with his bags. I've not seen his second generation bags yet, but we talked about them in MV and they sound like they would be a great choice. The once we have are nice also, and they work with the Sport top I got from RD. As for the bags, the only thing I noticed was the wind noise. They are up there on the hoops, in the wind, and you'll notice the sound at speed. It's worse if the rain covers (SS Luggage has them) are on, as they tend to flap more. Other than that, you forget they are even there for the most part. Sorry, not sure how it happened, but I don't have a pic of them on my SS....

We should hit ATL for 6:30pm rush hour ~> it'll be a parking lot for sure!
However, if we time it right, there should be a break in the weather around 6pm...
We've adjusted our departure time to be between 1:30-2:00pm because wind speed is only 2.9 knots... thus, it should be wet roads conditions and dry skies, if we hold out for just little longer.

It was a fun, restful Friday... Got to spend time with Robert, Allison, and Tom... Got to know them and learn about their families, as they did mine. Such great people!
We visited Dekalb Farmer's World Market and this place is ridiculous... Like Whole Foods or Central Market (or what everyone is in your area), but on steroids! So much farm to table stuff, including meats, seafood, just everything! I bought some mocha chocolate covered pistachios... Yum!
Tom bought about $30 bucks worth of things... How are the plantain chips @Bubblehead?
We then rested up in the afternoon. I took a power nap (and I never nap, so yesterday was really draining).
We then had an early, but big dinner at their hotel restaurant. How are those chicken wings Robert? By the way, thanks again!
After, we noticed the rain stopped, so we met up with some of the sstakeover group. The numbers weren't that big, but much more are expected tomorrow and Sunday. Riding there and the through the not bad, but still traffic, allowed me to take some moving slingshot photography...
Finally, I met @ericastar76 and @sideslinger!
Saw the supercharged beast and she sure us Purdy... And her Sling is pretty nice too! Tomorrow at breakfast, we need to get a group picture...As for tomorrow, here's my route... Anybody on the way to Terre Haute?
