If you're going to take the time to swap housings, you might as well also look into a rebuild kit for things like bearings, etc. I watched one of the new episodes of Wheeler Dealers where the new mechanic bought such a kit and also mentioned checking tolerances or clearances. I assume it's a Precision Turbo, so try contacting them. They should be able to help you buy the right replacement/rebuild components.
