@rabtech are you going to be a DDMWorks this weekend? Thought I saw where you were going up.
-
I sure am @Bubblehead..... I will be there Friday and Saturday.
You coming over?
Ill probably leave out around 1AM Friday morn so I don't hit that sucky Atlanta morning traffic. I had rather get there 2 hours early and get a biscuit and get unloaded than to fight traffic....
-
I can't make it as planned brother
I am stuck in NY -

Ok.... We were having a great time and were about 2hrs into riding. Just came off the back side of hwy180 just off Blood Mountain when we had finished the really twisty part. @FunCycle had a little problem. He felt something let go and next thing he knew he was just trying to keep it on the road. We are getting a flat bed and taking it to my house. We will worry about getting it back to NC later... He is ok and nothing hurt.
@Goats_Hogs, click on the "Ruptured Duck wrote" link at the top of this post.

I've been on this forum and made many friends. Yet somehow, I missed this. While this forum is full of mostly wonderful people, this thread didn't show up in my feed. I cannot express how sorry I am that this happened! Thankful you weren't hurt! Please follow up with what happened... road even looked pretty straight.
@FunCycle, so glad you were ok!
-
I think most is already on this thread. I really do not know what happened, either I drove straight thru the turn or the SS would not turn left. I have done the would have - could have - should have - a thousand times in my head and we were running about 50 to 55 mph

@Goats_Hogs we discussed how to post the event. It got posted in the event section because that's where it happened. Asked permission to do so but didn't feel it was appropriate to start it's own posting. Don't feel bad. Because all are safe and without more answers it's not worth getting people worked up.

I understand that. I followed this thread at the start for the first few pages. I have a very bad habit of relying on the Dashboard tab towards the top of the page. Between that, and what shows up as unread threads, I don't usually go into specific areas of the board much. I've seen threads that are months old and pages long that I had not seen before, just because someone someone recently made a new post on that thread.

Well @FunCycle I hate you had to call me and let me know about this. Totally missed it browsing the forum the last few days and we were out of town all the week before. That explains why I did not see the Sling at the Ball N Que late this last week when I passed it around 1130. Glad you are okay and when you get her back and if you need ANY help doing anything on the Sling don't hesitate to call or message me. Would be glad to help with anything and I have a pretty strong back. I'm only 30 minutes up the road and would love to pay you back for letting me use your garage and showing me the right way to change the oil on mine. Hope you are not out of the Sling game too long. Give me a call if you need anything buddy.

$4,152.80 for parts and $4,511.80 is the total for repairs at Mall of Georgia Indian in Buford, Georgia
-
So are we saying grand total of $8,700.00
Assuming the $511,97 really is $4511.97
-
Well
On Plus side it sounds repairable
On the sucks side that is a big nut - is any of covered by insurance or Polaris?@FunCycle your dilemma has inspired me to start making a removable mount for a winch in my trailer.
Started cutting and grinding today. Have to leave in the morning so I won't get everything welded until next week -

That is what I was planning - you can get them pretty cheap now.
Had t abandon my first mounting plan. I jus want to be able to mount it when, no wait if I need it.
I don't want to smack it every time I pull the sling in
