    The comparisons get a little convoluted here. The deal with North Korea is a starting point with a letter signed by the POTUS and not ratified by the Congress. The Iran deal is an end product signed by the POTUS and not ratified by Congress. North Korea released Americans being held, Iran did not release the Americans they still hold. Sanctions on North Korea remain in place while negotiating a complete denuking, Iran received billions in cash of their frozen assets and only a delay in nukes.
    Let's wait and compare final products and cost.

    IMO the financial pressure on N Korea has brought them to the table. When Kim Jong Un figured out that having nukes and being unable to fire one off without complete destruction of him and his country he began to think. If he opens up N Korea to commerce he will become rich beyond his wildest dreams with just even a trickle making it down to his people he will be a God. Denuking is a win win for Un ... if his people don’t assasinate him when they find out all they been missing!!

    So nobody wants to address why Obama was "treasonous" for simply talking with dictators and Trump is a hero? If my memory serves, people on the right swear that dodging simple questions is a thing the left does. Maybe both sides do it and some are too close to tell. :D

    We all know that the sanctions over the past years have hit N. Korea very hard. To the point where Pres. Kim Jong-Un told his people "the harder you hit the dogs when you kill them the better they will taste" as he dined on caviar smh. He's used his lands to plant tobacco and peddle look a like tobacco products on the black market, dabbled in the drug trade, once made a killing fishing a bank employee where he made off with over 80 million dollars and of course let's not forget his counterfeiting operation. He's kept the rest of the his country in poverty while creating private hot spots initially made for him but later becoming resorts for his favorite people. Now, if he can only get a little open daylight between him and the US at the diplomat table--he can make billions perhaps. @Bill Martin was spot on about the money. @WOLF, yes it's great if diplomacy can happen at any time. Of course, it will always be in the eyes of the beholder of who's considered the champion of peace. In the end, if it make a nation sleep better at night, it could be the Thundercats who brought us peace...if it means no service members lives will be put in harms way and no coffins draped with flags...you understand. I'm just waiting on the POTUS to scream "Slingshots for everyone"! This way I can have two to drive around LOL One to mod all crazy and impractical--and one all the normal daily driver lol

    It seems funny to me that Obama's "accomplishments" are measured by what might have been and simply accepted as fact. X amount if people would have lost jobs, we would have fell into a depression, Iran would have had nuclear weapons in two years. The media paints a bad image for a future that may or may not happen, then Obama saves us from a fabricated future. All the while increasing the size of government to save us from what might have been. If I had a dollar for ever time global warming was going to put Florida under water I could buy another slingshot.

    In the end we all want the same thing. A stronger, safer and more viable US economy, despite who's the POTUS. Whether it was the former POTUS or the current POTUS, it's about the US being the top dog! No left..no right..just might.

    Well, since Trump pulled out of the Iran deal, I guess we will find out if the "experts" were right about the 1 -2 years away from making nukes.

    Funny, I live in Florida, read that whole article, and a few things popped in to my head.
    #1. All these "Mayors" are from Democratic areas, over run with immigrants and brain dead socialists.
    #2. For some reason, mostly Democrats are the ones thinking that the earth will flood due to humans and not cyclical changes in the earths orbit and documented scientific proof of historical changes the earth goes through. Can we say ALARMISTS??? Just another bunch of idiots that think if you tax enough people, just not "our" people, we can fix it even though there has never been anything "fixed" by our government like the war on drugs, the war on DWI, the war on poverty, and of course "inclusivity".
    #3. The words "might", "could" and "may" are thrown around a lot with NO PROOF offered, no examples of life ending rises in water levels, no flooding from the seas, no Florida under water, nothing to back up their "theories"


    And just to touch on the president thing, IMO the difference in what Obama/Hillary did with Iran and Cuba and what Trump is doing with NK, Obama/Hillary gave away EVERYTHING before any of those countries did anything, which they have not done what they were supposed to do, versus Trump demanding NK do everything BEFORE he gives them anything.


    With Obama/Hillary the US lost all respect and fear throughout the world and Trump has brought back that respect, or fear, if that is what you want to believe.


    Obama/Hillary thinks you can buy respect and Trump thinks you have to earn respect.


    Obama/Hillary thinks you can take other peoples money and give it to the poor and bring them out of poverty while Trump thinks you can work for your money and get yourself out of poverty and increase your feeling of self worth at the same time and not be dependent on someone else.


    Buuuuuut that is just my opinion

    I dunno if it is time to spike the football yet saying N Korea is no longer a nuclear threat. Nobody that I have heard has said what a threat to Kim Jong Un this course of action will be for him. What happens if N Korean hardliners decide assasinating him is better than capitulating to the West ? I know it was reported he removed several top advisors replacing them with people that agree with him. I shudder to think what could happen if he was overthrown and who the hell knows could seize power. With a regime like N Korea I think it is safe to say anything is possible at this point.
