I think we can put this to bed - I defend Trump over “misinformation” also. Let’s just agree that I abhor Obama the same way you do Trump and let sleeping dogs lie. Should we begin debate over Chuck & Nancy or Mitch & Paul - we can prolly find common ground to bash all four of them - pick a side cause I can beat up all four of them and let the games begin

Hmmm, so no one has jumped all over the Trump White House removing 7 words from the CDC budget request eh? For those who haven't seen, the CDC isn't allowed to use the words/phrases: "transgender", "diversity", "science-based", "evidence-based", "entitlement", and I can't remember the other two. My thoughts (in no particular order):
1. Anyone who works with budgets knows that this is really no big deal. Each of the words that were removed have synonyms, so whatever. Maybe they just want the budget to sound more science-y and technical (i.e.: transgender/gender dysmorphic) and shouldn't ALL of the CDC's requests be based on science or evidence? I mean does that really need to be specified? **Note, I do not agree with the word removals, I'm just saying... ***
2. Removing words to be used in a public document is not a very bright move politically speaking. First Amendment and political correctness and snowflakes and all. So really? Really? REALLY? Is this REALLY the hill you want to die on there Mr. President? Comparisons to an Orwellian world are already beginning. <sigh> I can't believe someone actually took the time to specify those 7 words without justification. Can it really be that big of a deal in a budget discussion????
3. (cynical version) This wording change provides an awesome smoke screen for the 17% decrease in the CDC budget request for 2018. Seventeen Percent. Think about that. If you read over their budget release, you'll see some rather interesting reductions, and a few that you will find yourself saying "why the eff is the CDC doing that?". So maybe the whole thing is just to hide the programs that are being defunded....

Y’all know I can’t keep my mouth shut on many topics of the day but have refrained on this till now. As evidenced by the above video are all male/female rules of pursuit being changed before our very eyes?? I been listening to that song every Xmas since I was a child and NEVER even thought of any sexual connotations (and I’m usually lookin
) - especially rape as suggested here. As we see men from all walks of life being accused of sexual impropriety with lives and careers destroyed where is the new line not to be crossed. While I am sure we can all agree that any type of forced sex or using a position of power to extort sex is wrong and should not be tolerated - what about the good ole man pursuing woman since the beginning of time?? If you lean into steal a kiss and get your face slapped that USED to be the end of the story. How the hell are our sons and grandsons to know (when hormones are raging) how to pursue our daughters and granddaughters? Are we now to believe that all men are rapists just waiting for an opportunity to take advantage of some poor unsuspecting female?? That women now hold all the power to ruin a man’s life by just suggesting sexual impropriety without proof?? That men or women do not use every tool in their toolbox to choose the mate of their choice and when that fails vindictiveness could set in. The madness continues - Santa better be careful going down the chimney - he could be very soon be accused of attempting rape rather than delivering toys!! -
I can remember this same song already being talked about last year. People always need to start a friging controversy. If people would just do their job mind their own business and treat others as they would want to be treated this country would function 90% better.
