only sporting event I have been to in years was to see a local minor league baseball team, the Palm Springs Power, play - these were young kids not even being paid to play hoping to make it big - but that was on dollar beer nights back before I quit drinking - so it was probably as much about hanging with friends and drinking as it was about baseball - - - I just dont get any enjoyment from watching over paid thugs playing games when you know they would most likely be on the streets causing trouble if were not for their sport

meh - not something that impresses me, sure they might have amazing physical abilities, but having them and then choosing to use them to play a game for money does not impress me, would be much more impressed by a young person with superior physical abilities that chose to use those abilities by serving their country. Still really makes me wonder about the values we have as a country when people who bounce a ball and throw it through a hoop make more money than a person who saves lives or protects us - - - but hey, thats just my view and clearly many many others dont seem to see things the same way - - - - oh well

I caused a lot of commotion and don't watch any of the 'sports' on TV... college or pro.

I just had a thought. After Trump ended up with a judge who refused to recuse himself based on his daughter doing work for Biden and the DNC, a prosecutor who ran his campaign to get elected based on his promise to "GET TRUMP" a misdemeanor charge that has passed the statue of limitations being "reincarnated and rolled into a felony by wrapping it up to a FEDERAL charge that NO FEDERAL AUTHORITIES that could have brought charges against Trump (FEC for violating federal campaign finance law, DOJ for fraudulent records keeping etc), I came up with this. Since he's not going to get a fair trial and keeping of the campaign trail for up to 2 months, why does he not change his plea from Not Guilty to Nolo Contendere? He does not accept or deny the charges, but for expedience sake, wanst this to end without a trial. He still reserves his right to file an appeal of the case, which by itself would take it until early 2025 and he gets to campaign without all the B.S. of all this negativity? Why not, since his chances of winning this case is a big fat ZERO, his chances of a hung jury is probably less than 10% and conviction close to 90%. Why waste 2 months or more for an outcome that's already been decided by 10 or more of the jury.. Just a thought
