Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew or are the people in these pictures. They all have one thing in common ---- They have side exhaust . I was looking for some picture of the way their pipes are run and how they determined which exhaust to use and pipe size. Thanks Paul
Do you know who this is ?

This is a local guy here in Colorado Springs by the name of Jeff Charon. He has been setting up these dual side pipe exhausts for quite a few people.

The first picture is @scootertrash. I believe he has put side exhaust on 2 Slings. Very knowledgeable.
-
Yep! He also recommended a header that goes for less than $100! Of course, you'll need custom exhaust work, but his dual pipe system goes for less than most!
Pipes can be found at Summit Racing...

That looks nice, I may want to do this to mine.

@StickerDick is the Honda engine SS. Let me just go ahead a tell everyone that it is super loud and super bad ass. I could feel the exhaust when I was running 70mph and 4 car lengths away. It is a very cool SS. I have video that i am uploading that will give u an idea of just how loud it really is.

Did he just add on that side exhaust because he had one that ran through the battery box area at SSITS. I was standing behind it when he revved it up there and it really shook my innards. https://youtu.be/j9RLxFGTvG8

This is the video I got the idea from for myself. Love the side pipes

The pic I posted was @StickerDick first exhaust. It was pretty loud as well. There are some vids of it around. @rabtech is correct about his new exhaust that runs out of the battery box. It is super loud.

Wife wondered how likely it was that the passenger would get burned on the Laker style pipes. I thought it was a real possibility. Any feedback on that? We ended up adding a Welter baffle to our old style Alpha side exhaust to remedy the drone and it worked to get home but she is still eyeballing the side pipes, go figure.

Yes....yes I want that

Just saw your pictures and they look good, like the side pipes i am planning on doing this soon. have a couple of questions.. I have a guy here in southeast Arkansas that is a pretty good exhaust guy and i am sure he can do it . on the passenger side it looks like the pipe is coming through the plastic, if so i would assume it is wrapped also so the plastic will not melt. and how are the pipes held up, looks like C clamps, was there brackets made for them? Thanks
-
Yes I cut a hole in the plastic and no it is not wrapped there but I have not had melting issue. I have a strip of metal maybe 1/8 thick bolted to the frame sticking out to bolt the pipes too. I put a small slot in the plastic bucket for it to stick out through. Just used a dermal. Carrage bolts from top down to bolt to frame. Passenger side I had to take the seat out to get bolt in. I can go take some pics if needed. Let me know.
