@av8ingtom - I am having the same situation - and having some backfire between third and fourth.
My guess is the tune is on the rich side for the SC.
@av8ingtom I have the tune but I do not have any of the popping at an idle, but because the tune is a little rich I get the popping on decel.
I get also the popping sound when I decelerate, it was real bat with the 1320 exhaust it is much better with the welter stealth exhaust.
No super charger but new header and tune up. I'm getting popping as well.

@mytoy Did you have the ECM updated by Bob ? Or running stealth with stock ECM program?
Also question you running with the CAT on your stealth exhaust?

I get popping noise sometimes when I get on floor or get up, do you think I might need tune up? Maybe just because I am in a fast red one!!

Got the ECU tune with the CAI and Alpha variable exhaust. I be NA.... started getting the occasional popping on decel after installing the 1320 4into1 shorty.... but only in quiet mode... not in beast mode.

Display MoreI cannot get the video to post. But I did disconnect the ECM, left it disconnected for 30 minutes. Hooked everything back up and drove over 100 miles. Still have the popping noise from exhaust when at idle. Runs great, plenty of power, but at idle only still have a popping noise.

Most likely an exhaust leak causing it.
Had the Welter system installed at MV and had the same thing. Welter found leaks and had to use exhaust putty to seal the joints. Said the normal tape has problems with the flow of the SC.
Put it up on stands and check for leaks with it running.

@Slingrazor is most likely right on the money about the leak. Most popping is the result of an exhaust leak allowing air into the pipe. This will allow the gas to ignite and pop. It's not always the case but it's definitely a major reason.
Something else to remember is once these new exhaust go thru a heat cycle a few times things can tend to contract and expand. So you need to tighten all the joints again just for good measure. This is a good idea on anything that gets hot and then cools down alot.

@av8ingtom - I think @rabtech and @Slingrazor pretty much summoned it up, but definitely check all of the exhaust connections from the header to the tip. If there is any air getting into any of those spots you will definitely get some popping. If you have any other questions, just let us know.
