I'm about to pull the trigger on an air ride. What happens if the power goes to heck and I have no air in my tank? Can I get home OK? I know, I should have had this done last week in MV. Stop judging me

That's a loaded question. Let me see if I can cover all the bases though.
Scenario 1: Automated air control. System runs off of power. No power means no solenoid controls. You can't adjust the system.
Scenario 2: Manual air control. System may have electronic switches. No power means no solenoid control. System may have pneumatic switches. No power but still have control of what is in your air tank.
Scenario 3: Keep 3 quick connect Schrader valves to pump up your bags with a typical automotive air compressor like you fill your tires with.
The more likely scenario is a compressor or fuse going out before a major electrical failure. With that being the case a well hidden remote fill valve for the air tank is a life saver.
Can help you figure out a good safety set up for your Slingshot good sir if you need any assistance.

Hmmmmm......gotta get to Shatneyman's place for a wrench day! Truthfully though you can do it. Air suspensions are easy.....till you have to start cutting, welding, mocking up, doing equations you haven't seen since college calculus. Which the slingshot needs very little of. The only cutting is to the end of the sway bar. It will tap the bags if you don't trim it a little.
-
I have an e-mail in to RD, might wait till next year at MV.
-
but if you have a ddm sway bar you won't have to cut it with the revdynamics system, fits perfectley
-
@Shatneyman it's better for you to install so if something goes wrong you'll understand it and fix whats wrong. Don't think your gonna send to Indiana every time something goes wrong

I don't, it's stock,... laugh here,... I know!!!
-
ok then you stick the templates that comes with the kit and hack off the rest. good to go see that wasn't hard.

Shatneyman, as we discussed in Maggie "YOU CAN DO IT" if you can hack up you hood and make it a masterpiece then a simple air ride install will be easy for you. Come on if you have any problems just call Aunt Jemima to help..........sorry couldn't resist! Seriously though there are a ton of people here that will answer any questions that arise.

I can't add anything to this other than... @Shatneyman you can do this install!
Come on man... join the ABA (Air Bag Association)
