@mniron I can't afford shocks now. I have cool seats!!
What was I thinking when I told you those seats would look great in your SlingShot! They do look great by the way!
-
@NJ SS I have stock shocks and I clear the rear spring by about 1/8". No issue with rubbing.
- Thanks
You really need to get some good shocks on the awesome machine, check out the For Sale Section for the best shocks available. You will gain a little more clearance also.
thanks guys. Just bent my rear rim last night (NJ potholes. Lol!!). I will be in the market for new rims. I wanted to just get a wider rear but will have to replace all of them to get a matching set.

@ericastar76 - So before @MiM asks, what you looking at doing with those SLR rims? I'm interested.
I have a local buyer I've committed them too... but that falls through ~> they're yours!

I just called roaring toyz to get a quote for my rear wheel/ tire replacement. I was looking at the 20x12 rear "meaty". They told me that they will not sale just the rear set up. I have 18's in the front and the wheel I was looking at was a good match. I feel bad for the people who may have bent the rear rim (as I did) and purchased through roaring toyz. They would not be able to just replace the rim and would have to by a hole new set.

I am looking at some after market rims, and the specs have me a little confused. For the bolt pattern, multiple sites read "5x4.50/5x120". An example is pasted below. I understand that 4.5 equals 114.3mm -- what I need -- but how can that also be 120mm? I am thinking it may mean there are 2 versions, but need to make sure before I order. Of course very few rim sites have a configurator for Slingshots
Appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

Some of the wheels are double drilled. They will fit either size. Enki does this a lot.

@McClendons Like @Slingrazor said it is possible the wheels have a double pattern so they can fit on more vehicles like this one pictured below.

Won't those extra holes be weak spots???

This is pretty common. It is strong enough, especially for a slingshot, however usually sign of a cheaper wheel. I would personally try to find a wheel with a single bolt pattern.

Like the looks of that wheel but I could never get past the extra holes showing. Would look very strange IMHO.

You'd think the manufacturer would include matching plugs for the unused holes in either the main wheel cover or the accent color.

Great explanations, pictures. The ones I've seen have a centercap (maybe 2) so the xtras do not show. Changes the thought process. Hard to find good wheels in right parameters...

@McClendons you can find options with custom offsets at http://www.getyourwheels.com
