Took it out to test drive the Sunday morning run for Uncorked, Felt a vibration and then lots of ugly noise from the ass end.
I hope they just screwed up the bearings when they did the swing arm recall but me thinks it may be the angle drive.
It was no joy getting home.

Mitch, if it is the angle drive and the dealer doesn't warranty it, Kenny_H has an almost new angle drive I'm sure he could be talked into selling

My father-in-law's band is playing at the Wort Hog Brewing Company on April 1st and @MrsRock and I are gonna go hang out, have some food, a few beers and listen to the music. Nothing super official, but sure would be cool if some fellow Slingers decided to make an appearance!

@MACAWS , if the angle drive gives out, you will know for sure in short order . It starts slowly, and then one day during perfect driving weather, your ride will sound like it has no wheels and is being dragged by an F150. Completely obvious. I know, I know, I know. And I wish I didn't know. And then, the angle drive will be on back-order, and you will be tagged as a vehicle down - which is just bullshit speak, and the dealer will tell you crap that they will pull an angle drive off the assembly line - which they won't. Grrrr. A formerly repressed memory. Two+ months later, you will be back on the road, waiting for the next problem.
But, let's get back to beer. I love beer. I plan to post, unless I am not allowed, being forced to vacuum, do laundry, and install a toilet.
As things stand right now I will be in the Richmond area delivering my boat and trailer to a new owner. (hopefully, you know, more mod money)
FYI: as one who lives 20 minutes from Wort Hog I advise everyone to scout out the pathetically limited parking in Warrenton beforehand, maybe call the brewery to get info since there is a good chance you will be a good way and out of sight of your sling.

Yep. Live a bit further from Warrenton than Andy dude, but his words are wise and true.
Fortunately, all crew members I know have legs, and many of us could use the exercise.
