I pulled the trigger getting the radio upgraded

Should be a great pleaser .

I do like that radio.... I think there is someone with a sun screen (little duckbill) that looks good over it and takes the glare off the screen. It is for the factory unit but it will work for any radio...

I think one of the two vendors carries it in stock. Im still looking....

I dont know what those speakers cost. But that radio will take a grand out of you wallet fast!

Ok well that kills it for me. Other things to spend it on. One can dream.... Besides I might have an issue with my SS again... Stupid ECU 065620 code popped up again. Only 7k miles and looks like another ECU going bad. This can't be good.

@Redspark what size speaker is that that you have installed in the side/ shoulder area?

Wow, nice system. I just installed the 4200 NEX in my GMC and love it. Definitely need to upgrade the system in my base SS. I went low end with it for last summer and it definitely needs better speakers.

Looking forward to that review! I just asked in the tech forum if anyone was running Focal. I just had a system designed with Focal and JL Audio. Just the focal component set was 1K. Total I will have $3200 in the whole system.

I agree. I was grossly uneducated about the SL when I bought mine. I should have gotten a base. That's what I get for an impulse buy.
