The hardware I used are flat head aluminum bolts and nuts used for screen doors. Got it from Ace Hardware.
Aluminum? Hmmm, no issues with them coming loose?

Nope. I put a dab of lock tite on them.

@'2W2X1 the way i bent mine was i took me a wide straight slot screw driver and a rag and gently wedged it between the slots and bent my desired angle. i used stainless steel hardware. i did not use any gasket on mine but will use 3m tape when i change my hardware out again. i found some black bolts at my hardware store i am going to use since my outer part is painted black. if you need anything else please let me know.

Care to share what style/type hardware you settled on? Most of the hardware store black coated bolts tend to rust.
A bolt expert friend of mine said he prefers zinc hardware and ships it off to be coated black.
People tend to make things over complicated, I used the SS Allen head bolts from ACE about $0.45 each coated them with VHT Black wrinkle paint and done.
I looked on amazon and ebay for power coated bolts and prices were outrageous SS bolts were about $ 1.50-2 a piece, Titanium were $4-20.

Just polish the stainless, the hell with the powder coat

thanks...
@mniron I have to call them tomorrow. I need Metric and they don't list them on the website. Wish I could just use standard but sourced parts dictate otherwise.
Never gave it a thought that they didn't offer metric Black Oxide! I have ordered metric from them before but just Stainless Steel. Now that I looked I see they don't show any oxide metric bolts, I hope your call will generate something!

Cannot imagine them not offering it or able to make them. well see.
This is the hardware I used. Not the long one...just the aluminum flat head bolts and I just used regular aluminum nuts with lock tite.
Front Fender Vents | zero decibel motorsports
They work great! Love them, they look cool too!
Thank You for that link. I hope they're still out there for sale
I would like to introduce myself
I am a friggin idiot!
So I am getting ready to cut the holes for my fender vents
Can't find them anywhere
Why - because I tossed them when I was cleaning the shop to get ready for a slingshot detailing session for Lakefest
They were in the shipping cardboard and weigh so little I guess I thought it was just some scrap cardboard.
That was an expensive mistake.
Damn the luck Mitch.
I guess a clean shop has its price!

And my wife wonders why the garage is not cleaned....
It just takes a bit to find the stuff but it's there!
Also..... Working on something to keep the flapping down or deleted.
I'm sure someone wants a simple bolt on solution....
