Hello everyone, looking to get people's inputs on the best spot and mount they used for the GoPro. I have several options with the accessories I have. I also would be curious to see how you wired power so you can save the batteries for if you take it off the Slingshot to use. Thanks!

I do not use GoPro but this is how I mounted my Garmin VIRB camera mount. I used Ram mounts.

And @Samowens44 probably is the king for video mounting!
Edit: there's a link to another thread below that's similar from Sam the king himself...

I have the Virb XE, I have a few mounting points on the sling, and one on my trailer. I let them set for 24hrs before I mounted the camera to them to make sure they wouldn't come loose. I've had no problems yet. I have one on the dash, one on the roll hoop and am thinking of mounting one to the front spoiler down low to get some interesting shots.
Love the VIRB, hate it's battery life and you can't run power to it as the charger puts the camera into... wait for it... charging mode!

I have the XE.

I have a go pro mount that mounts on the roll hoop behind the seats. It is a special mount made for the slingshot. I only use my GoPro for Scuba Diving now. I like the Garmin for my Sling. If you would like the mount PM me your mailing address and I will send it to you.

Here is what I did
Made a mount that attaches to the windshield mounting point
Also added a USB port in the engine bay so I can use the charging cable and have constant power.
Camera is controlled by a Garmin RemoteAlso have a rear facing RePlay camera

Here is where I mounted mine (Go Pro), I will get the new housing so I can plug into the USP Port (Clove compartment)

Buy a bunch of the GoPro RAM mount adapters. They convert all GoPro style mounts to a 1" standard RAM ball. Then buy a bunch of the RAM 1" ball mounts that have the metric 6mm threaded stud and put them everywhere you have a T40 screw. I also have the hollow RAM balls that you can put bigger bolts thru.
Main thing is just converting all the GoPro mounts to a standard RAM style mount. Then you can just carry around all RAM parts that you needs.
And you can also get quick clamps for roll hoops. RAM mounts just open the door to having a large amount of possible locations and they are very sturdy..

And you can use the RAM ball mounts on just about anything.

A bunch of these at $42 each???
