@mniron No i didn't move the hood back. I did the rabtech hood adjustment loosen, & wiggle the sides and re-tighten. i have the madstat hinges and when i push it down it latches all four corners and the hood buttons perfect, and i have all the same gap on all adjoining panels. spent the day to get it all perfect. so i am gonna do the tweaking of the lights to get them the same which should make my pins just about perfectly straight up. I'll update once i get it adjusted

about tired of the supercharger trying to blow off my front fenders.
DITTO ~> anything over 120 and it looks ridiculous flying down the road!!
Should be standard issue there @Dave@DDMWorks @Jeff@DDMWorks (LOVE LOVE LOVE the SC... HATE HATE HATE the flapping of the fenders)!!

WELL DONE ~> was about to bore some holes into the hood this morning and found your post @mniron ... PAUSE (hood) BUTTON PRESSED!!!
Take my money!
The hole is 3/4", holesaw is provided along with an alignment tool with the DIY Kits.

I have the kit from slingshotonly and planned on spending the 4th putting them in... but I like the placement much better with your kit. I'll PM you with money/shipping details soon (getting ready to head out for a ride before the skies open up)!

I'm planning on getting these probably at Maggie next yr. I just can't cut my own hood. Maybe someone at Eureka Springs can help me if I buy the kit.

You're not alone! I couldn't watch when @mniron installed mine but he did a crazy good job - especially considering how each Slingshot is slightly different in fitment. Only way I would ever do the hood or fender vents would be if @mniron would install and I wouldn't have to watch.

Does DDM carries the buttons?

Just an FYI - If you are thinking about extended hood hinges, suggest you get those installed first, get the hood aligned / fitted in the right location, then add the hood buttons.

Absolutely correct! You can add the extended range hood hinges after but most likely a lot less hassle to to them first and get them adjusted correctly, sometimes that in itself is a lot of work. I did add the extended hinges to mine after the fact and they work beautifully. I always suggest all hood adjustments be done prior to installing the Fender Buttons, the installation of Fender Buttons will not change the the operation of the hood.

So.... Best (or least problematic) extended hood hinges?
Madstad SlingshotOnly? Or DDM? What about MeanSling's assist?
-
I am partial to the DDM hinges - they are beafy and heavy duty.
-
What about MeanSling's assist?
I don't have the extended hood hinges, but have the Meansling assist, installed after the hood buttons, and they work great. The buttons work as they should, and the assist works as it should. I park the sling with the hood raised all the time now,... @Ruptured Duck says it is not recommended because of the weight of the hood. But mine is a little lighter with the hood cut open.
