I always said my oven is dry heat but I don't stick my head in there either. Visited my brother-in-law in Phoenix once. It was 118. They turned the heat on that night because they said it gets cold then. Got down to 84!!! Thought I was going to die!!!

Well, as Tripod pointed out, it is a dry heat and not having humidity makes a big difference. I can deal with 110 and 10% humidity, but I look like a drowned rat if its 80 and 75% humidity
I guess its all a matter of what you have adjusted to. With over 30 years here I get cold when its below 70
Yes, but you have to understand, Tripod has been in heat for years

To all of you that complain about the heat...send some of that heat this way!!! In Canada it's still hovering around the freezing mark. Damn! I want to get out and ride!

And to make matters worse, while freezing in the United States is 32 degrees, it doesn't freeze in Canada until it hits ZERO.
That makes a big difference in how cold it is. Don't believe me? Just ask KEV

high 70's and and mid 80's every day this last week - now its Saturday and they say its going to rain - - of course 9 times out of 10 when they say that it doesnt rain enough to even get the dust off a car
-
-
this is why its a desert - the dot is where I live in Palm Springs, and as is usually the case when a storm rolls through the mountains to the south and west force the rain to go around us. the clouds that do make it have already dumped most of what they held before ever getting here. the radar map says its raining but I have not seen a single drop
