Anyone have the standard size Ripper wind deflector?
I'm debating the tinted standard ripper vs 7" MadStad.....
Go!

I have a 7" madstad, and love it! (medium gray)
-
I'm 5'4" when the gravitational forces are low...7" is a good height?
-
I am 5'8", but drive with the almost all the way back - stock seats, and with a small frame (read rear end,)- I end up way back in the pocket of the seat. (I hope that makes sense).
I move the seat 1 notch forward. You have good seats, so they sit much different. I am enjoying the air circulation, with full ability to see over at the screen, regardless of where the height adjustment is set. I sat in a sling that had the regular ripper- and could not see over the full screen, without having my vision bisected. Those were stock seats also. I am positive you would not want anything bigger then a 7 inch, even with your beautiful seats. I do not believe you wouldn't notice any difference in height between the stock windshield and the Standard ripper. The low ripper is a totally different animal. It is so low, in my opinion, it does nothing
Hope this gives you at least food for thought! -
It definitely does! I think my biggest sway is the brackets on the MadStad...I really like the look of the tinted standard ripper...but not sure if It's Polaris fix for the lack of air circulation and abundance of buffeting in the cockpit...

Hey @DKF Texas I'm a Madstad believer now. I even like the look of the brackets now. Plus the bronze is pretty sexy.
-
it took me less than a week to get used to the look of the Madstad- Medium gray was a big change from the clear, and the 7" is 2" lower than stock, when in lowest position. The bases are not in my line of sight-ever, and they divert the wind so you don't have the buffeting. After the first week- I was a believer!

Bronze....hmmmm

Yet another Madstad believer. I went with the 9" Extra dark tint. I'm 5'10" and I look over the windshield even with aftermarket seats. With the darker tint you can't even see the mounting brackets from the front. From the back they just blend in. The extra dark can be seen through during the day. But, it is like wearing a pair of dark sunglasses. At night it is better because of the headlights. I could only imagine the lighter tints would be even easier to see through.

The standard ripper is a big improvement from the original windscreen. We do not get buffeting from it but at the same time it does not kill all the air flow. We are pleased with our decision to buy the ripper.
It does seem that every one who has purchased a Madstad loves it.
The brackets were a big part in our decision to go with the ripper. -

Is the standard ripper taller or shorter than the regular blade? -
The standard ripper is slightly lower. What is different from the regular blade is the top line of the ripper is horizontal. It does not slope from the middle down towards the outside. With the stock seat I could see over it. With new PRP seat my eye level is about 1/2 below the top of it.

If you have a chance can you snap a picture? I can't imagine the too being horizontal
Thx

I am 5 ft 9 in with a 31 inseam.
- These two photos were taken at my eye level sitting in PRP seats.
