I'm thinking seriously about taking this on. I need to review the associated thread because I'm concerned it's above my pay-grade. I'm excellent at deconstruction, so-so at reconstruction, and worthless at body-work and paint. Would any of you comment on the difficulty level? The results are awesome.

@TrooperAnyone else?

@SlingLow I say go for it. After speaking with @Slingrazor the easy part is cutting. the hard part really is just taking your time and cleaning up the cuts. After i seen the other guys hoods I knew I wanted to do mine I just took some time and figured out what i wanted it to look like. and after seeing @Slingrazor cut mine today it is really simple.

My biggest concern was not knowing in what direction I was heading. Guess having the sling since 2015 and having tampered with it many times takes the fear away of using anything remotely close to a saw on it , Home Depot 1/2 mile away and crap load of screws and bolts helps. However the support of all you guys and knowing that if you mess up someone in the forum will bail you out with parts or knowledge is enough to get started.
To the above list you need to add @Painter that ( i know he doesn't remember cause he helps everyone sent me details and tricks) and add to that ( my wife was on vacation) so i didnt have to do the dishes until before she got home.....helped!
If your tired, frustrated or hungry.....STEP AWAY and get to it later!
Like someone here said.." You got this"..

@Slingrazor is definitely the “Master of Sling Innovation” and reminds me of the heart surgeon who makes a triple bi-pass look like a piece of cake!

I would give this level of difficulty a level 3... out of 5. As you formulate your plane and think it through it seems to get easier - Keeping in mind there are several ways the end results can be tailored to what you like. From showing just 6 open sections to showing all 10. Be creative and let your imagination go a "little" wild... Just have some planned steps as your start.
