Ok since my router decided to die on me after 34years of service, i decided to go old school on the plug fabrication.
Two 2x2 MDF sheets and several pieces of moldings later i have the male and female sides of the plug.
Bondo, sanding and several prayers and breaks Im almost ready.

I bought my framer/carpenter/handyman that works with me a router this week and he just sent me this pic on my way home tonight. It hit a nail in the used wood he was routing (not on my job) and somehow it bit him. I'm guessing he won't show up for work on Monday and no, I don't let him run my chainsaws...

@SlingLow that is not good!
I keep a first responder kit in my truck just for him. It's patched up a few boo boos. Some guys are just prone to injury...

He needs a brain transplant! Sorry for the gore - it probably didn't belong here, but it does go with the theme: holes in stuff that didn't have them before. I've been following this thread and am thinking about doing this mod. I really like the look and uniqueness. I am a little intimidated by the complexity of the process however. I'm watching others do this and hope to get my confidence to a higher level.

FYI: You guys may already know this, but I was on customcargrills figuring up prices on my hood project. and saw a section for scrap metal. Found my type I am going to use in that section cheaper than buying it new.

Guess I'm not completing anything, too close to MV and the SS is in pieces all over the place, just enough time to put it all back together again and work on it after MV with no pressure
This sucks but better than working in a hurry.
Maybe i can drop it off to someone in Indiana! -
