I am picking up a new F150 Supercrew 4x4 tomorrow. Not sure about the box liner options. Leaning toward Line-X. Only had plastic liners before. What are folks' experience with Line-X (or other spray in coatings)? It is available in body color match. Help!! PS - it is a 2.7 EB. Will a 20" LED bar fit in the grill opening behind the license plate? We don't have front plates here in Nova Scotia, so that space is available.
Help!! New truck questions

I had a 2003 GMC Sierra with the Rhino lining.
LOVE IT
It has had a slight weathering to it, lighting up and chalky like appearance in the last 10 years, but it is very subtle and light. The truck has since been sold to sister in law, still going strong and Rhino lining still good and tough.
Would definitely do it again if i needed it. -
I'v e been using Line-X for years in several trucks. Great stuff! I think Rhino and Line-X are both good. Textures are different I believe.

The textures are different. Rhino is a softer rubber like feel. Line-x is much more firm. There is a video online where they coat different objects with line-x to show how strong the coating makes them. One is an egg they coat and drop from a decent height and it doesn't break. I've had Line-x on several trucks and have been very satisfied. They have all been black. The dealer warned me that the colored could fade over time in the S.W. Florida sun, so I never tried them.

I line-x every truck I buy. Love that stuff!

I have had both
My oldest is Linex on a 2001 GMC with 260,000 hard miles on both the ruck and the bed. Rhino liner make a refinish that you can put on when it ages and it looks like new $25 a bottle and it does an 8' bed.
I would highly recommend either one

Thanks all. Maybe LineX is the way to go. The truck will be in Florida in the winter (gotta haul my SS on its trailer!). The body color fading is a valid comment. Re the light bar, Rigid's price for a LED grill is over $2000!!! I think I will look for waaaay cheaper alternatives. I already have the bar.

Didn't realize that you already had the light bar. Check with T-Rex Grilles.
They have a grille that fits a 20" bar. You should be able to get the grille from them without the light bar. -
Thanks for the info, Joker!!

Looks like you have plenty of input, but I will add my vote for Line-X over Rhino Lining. Had a buddy with older Rhino Lining and he was not happy with it as it aged and discolored. I chose Line-X on my 2004 Silverado and aside from a couple of stupid things that I have done to it, it has held up exceptionally well.

Can you expound on the "stupid things" @KayTwo ? We're all ears! Lol
Tossed a piece of metal tubing, or a piece of wood with a metal tube attached, into the bed so that the tube landed open end down at a sharp angle, with forward momentum...gouged the shit out of the lining. Totally my fault. Spilled some paint on the liner, didn't catch it until it was mostly dry...never could get it off completely.
Other than that, I have abused the hell out of that lining...firewood, lumber, full pallets of whatever, bed full of loose gravel...worth every penny.
